My husband gets a small left-leaning monthly publication that is geared towards seniors. It normally contains articles on investment and health. Funny thing is this month’s newsletter had an article about how to be “safe in a crowd.” I didn’t know seniors were so active attending large gatherings that they frequently found themselves in situations where it might get dangerous. These nutcase seniors are the new, nasty entitlement group and they are rabid about whatever it is that triggered them. So now under the Senior Citizens Protection Act, you can even sue your kids to pay your bills? According to the internet this is a law IN INDIA, NOT IN AMERICA. That said, most states have "elder abuse" and/or "elder financial abuse" statutes of one kind or another. Jill Biden COMMITTED both these crimes.
Yes, Jill and others abused Joe! We have a senior citizens protection act, but abuse is abuse. Why are seniors or anyone else special or different when it comes to the law? I get why children are given extra legal protection, but to automatically group people together as vulnerable when they reach a certain age gives them preferential rights. I have seen so many entitled seniors that I think this trend is adding another dimension to group politics. AARP being one of the biggest leftist leverage NGOs.
AMAC was founded long after AARP in response to the leftist legislation AARP was pushing. AMAC fought Obamacare. The difference is that AARP is actually an arm of the Democrat party. AMAC stands for Conservatives ideals. It is a matter of free speech these NGOs, but the difference between them is stark! AARP is even involved in Oakland Street Clinics which is a for profit company.
I think a lot of this senior entitlement attitude came about when after the 2008 collapse, you could hear many retirees complaining that they were on a “fixed income.” Unless you hit the lottery, aren’t we all on fixed incomes? Senior discounts are paid for by others who pay full price plus. 😡
Many of us have been commenting on the fact that there are a high percentage of elderly screaming in the streets with their hate Trump and hate Musk signs, across the nation. Are you seeing that in your neck of the woods? Trump won this purple county THREE TIMES, yet these fools are in the streets, screaming hatred at their neighbors. BTW, Robert (age 75 or so) is both my neighbor and a member of my John Birch Society chapter. He just won a Byrna Launcher at a Republican women's raffle. He is safe when the loons come looking for him! Ha!
Boomer Democrats are the most disturbing ones, in part because they are well past old enough to know better, and Minnesota is full of them. Ugh. It sickens me just to think of them.
This last election has made me wonder how so many older women became insane. Watching them destroy political signs in other people's yards, key cars with Trump bumper stickers, steal flags off of cars, and even berate or attack total strangers in the store for wearing politically themed attire has convinced me of their mental incompetence. So much free-floating rage in this demographic--why?
