“WHERE’S JACKIE?” BIDEN CALLS OUT FOR INDIANA’S DEAD CONGRESSWOMAN
GOP Expected To Hold The Seat In November
US Representative Jackie Walorski was a passenger in an SUV when it crossed the centerline on a northern Indiana state highway on August 3rd and collided with an oncoming vehicle. The GOP congresswoman, her two aides and the other driver lost their lives.
Several days later, Mr. & Mrs. Biden issued a statement extending their condolences to Walorski’s husband and to the families of her two staffers. The White House also flew flags at half-staff in memoriam for Walorski and her aides. This was an unusual move for Biden as he spent August and September calling Republicans so many names this American couldn’t keep track. My favorite is “semi-fascist,” however.*
BIDEN FORGOT SHE WAS DEAD
At the Conference on Hunger, Nutrition & Health, which was funded by a Bill Walorski co-sponsored and held at the White House on September 28th, Biden paced the stage, back & forth, calling out:
"I want to thank all of you here, including bipartisan elected officials like Rep. McGovern, Sen. Braun, Sen. Booker, Rep. — Jackie, are you here? Where's Jackie? I thought she was going to be here — to help make this a reality."
REPLACING JACKIE
Congresswoman Jackie Walorski was seeking her sixth term in Indiana’s CD2, in the north central part of the state which includes South Bend and Elkhart.
Three weeks after her untimely death a caucus of Indiana Republicans met to choose a replacement for Congresswoman Walorski. They chose Rudy Yakym, 38, a longtime political ally of the congresswoman and an executive with the Elkhart distribution company, Ken Krest. Yakym was the finance director for her first successful congressional campaign in 2012. Walorski’s husband recommended Yakym.
TWO RACES IN ONE: YAKYM VS STEURY
Governor Eric Holcomb, via executive order on August 9th, scheduled a special election to finish Walorski’s current term in congress. Thus, on November 8th there will be two elections for Indiana’s CD2, one to fill out Jackie’s current term and one for the January 2023-January 2025 term. Wouldn’t it be bizarre if the voters chose different candidates? One to finish the term and another to be seated on January 3rd.
The Democrat candidate for Indiana’s Second Congressional District is Paul Steury, 59, a high school science teacher in Goshen who buys into the Climate Change hoax. Comparing his campaign website to Yakym’s, the two appear to agree on priorities, except one of Yakym’s priorities is “Saving America from the Pelosi-Biden Failed Agenda” and one is “Creating American Energy Independence and Lowering Energy Prices.”
The GOP candidate probably knows that “Green Energy” is a dead end for middle-class America, will price most Americans out of the car market and will make air conditioning only a bygone memory for all but the Ruling Elite, as former South Bend mayor, Pete Buttigieg, recently implied at a House hearing.
Steury promises the same kinds of tax & spend give-away programs Democrats believe will buy them votes. But, he provides no ideas about how he will fund them. He is “bought & paid for” by the same teachers’ unions that kept schoolchildren out of class for two years and have been abusing children with CRT and Transgender indoctrination.
The GOP is expected to hold this redistricted seat.
Although, this should be a safe district to keep in the Republican column, no one should take anything for granted, get out and vote, vote, vote.
The other point of importance, anyone supported by a Teacher's Union needs to be examined with an eye on their refined positions. The Teacher's Union Leadership is not the friend of the People, they've given us the agendas they want, not that of the parents. Who wants more out of classroom learning, CRT, and Transgender indoctrination, plus dropping test and learning scores in reading, math, and science.
