Need A Laugh? "White Rural Voters Are A Threat To Democracy"

They have done it again. A Democrat “academic” and a Democrat “journalist” put their heads together to come up with yet another theory as to why President Trump has strong support in rural America. Based on their “research” these two Jacobins^ Lite published a book called . . . . . wait for it: “White Rural Rage, The Threat To American Democracy.” How many “threats to Democracy” have Leftists dreamed up now? Anyone who does not vote for Democrats is a “threat to Democracy.” As Trump surges, Democrats get ever more desperate.

I refuse to waste any money buying this pile of cow manure, but I did listen to an interview the authors gave to Mika Brzezinski on MSNBC last week to sell their book. They spelled out four reasons why white rural voters “are a threat to the country.” I stopped the video when Mika brought on Race Baiter-In-Chief Al Sharpton, who likely has never met a “white rural” American in his life.

ONE: It was no surprise when their very first claim was “they are the most racist, anti-immigrant, xenophobic, anti-gay geodemographic* group in the country.” Racist? This is really getting old. Can’t Democrats come up with a new name to call Trump voters? I now wear it as a badge of honor. Democrats are so devoid of reasoning they have nothing left but to name call. The first two times my husband & I voted for Trump we were suburbanites. This year we will vote for Trump as proud “white rural voters” who are a “threat to Democracy.”^^

TWO: These two troglodytes went on to explain that rural Americans suffer from “Covid denialism.” What the hell is that? Does that mean rural voters believe that man-made Covid does not exist and did not kill over one million Americans? Horse biscuits! We also suffer from “election denialism.” That means we think for ourselves and rely on their own eyes, ears, brain instead of listening to government propaganda. Can’t have that!

THREE: White rural voters also have “the most anti-democratic sentiments. They don’t believe in an independent press, free speech. They are more likely to say the president should act unilaterally, without any checks from congress or the courts or the bureaucracy.” Say what? If this were true then white rural Americans would be Biden voters, not Trump voters. This duo makes us sound like Liberals.

FOUR: This claim reveals that these two are either delusional or so blinded with hate & rage toward Trump voters they can’t think straight: “They are most likely to excuse or justify violence as an acceptable alternative to peaceful public discourse.” Yes, I seem to remember all those “white rural” Americans burning down buildings in major cities throughout America in 2020. If nothing else, this remark should convince us they are partisan hacks and not “journalists” nor “academics.”

And what “academic research” would be complete without providing an excuse to demonize Christians? According to their research, “white rural” Americans “are the most strongly white nationalist, white Christian nationalist.” Like in Nazi Germany, before Aryan Germans would feel comfortable with the government dragging their Jewish neighbors out of their homes to an uncertain fate, they had to be trained to view Jews as demons who were harming their nation. In Biden’s America Christians, especially white Christians, play the role of Jews. Our new neighbors don’t have a “white nationalist” nor a “Christian nationalist” among them.

“White rural voters pose a threat to the country,” according to these two jackasses, whom I refuse to name. Will their “research” be used as an excuse to take voting rights away from “white rural” Americans? How will this disenfranchisement be accomplished in 2024? The same way it was in 2020 when illegal ballot boxes in big cities and suburbs were stuffed with ghost ballots filled out by machine in favor of Biden, but not filled out for down ballot candidates?

BIDEN’S LACKEY ADMITS HIS IGNORANCE

Paul Krugman, the “economist” who still can’t understand why Americans are suffering so much under Bidenomics, wrote a book review for the New York Times. His view of “white rural” America is as nonsensical as the book writers’ views are. Just a few quotes from Krugman’s article wherein he claims New York City is “relatively safe” compared to rural America:

“At this point you’re probably expecting a solution to this ugly political situation. But the truth is that while white rural rage is arguably the single greatest threat facing American democracy, I have no good ideas about how to fight it.”

“The result — which at some level I still find hard to understand — is that many white rural voters support politicians who tell them lies they want to hear. It helps explain why the MAGA narrative casts relatively safe cities like New York as crime-ridden hellscapes and rural America as the victim not of technology but of illegal immigrants, wokeness and the deep state.”

This process and its effects are laid out in devastating, terrifying and baffling detail in “White Rural Rage: The Threat to American Democracy.” I say “devastating” because the hardship of rural Americans is real, “terrifying” because the political backlash to this hardship poses a clear and present danger to our democracy and “baffling” because at some level I still don’t get the politics.

”We stand at what may be the most dangerous moment for American democracy since the Civil War. A great deal of attention has been bestowed upon rural Whites since Donald Trump’s ascension in 2016, yet that discussion has overlooked a vital political truth this book hopes to illuminate: The democratic attachments of rural White Americans are faltering.”

”In fact, in critical ways, they have more power than any other large demographic group in America. This power has already distorted the outcomes our system produces, leaving us in an age of minority rule in which—to take just one example— the party that won fewer votes in seven of the last eight presidential elections managed to assemble an activist 6–3 supermajority on the Supreme Court, one that is now busy remaking the laws all of us live under to conform to a right-wing policy vision that overwhelming majorities of the public do not share. This minority rule is a consequence of the disproportionate power wielded by rural Whites.”

”Rural voters—especially the White rural voters on whom Donald Trump heaps praise and upon whom he built his Make America Great Again movement—pose a growing threat to the world’s oldest constitutional democracy.”

“But more than at any point in modern history, the survival of the United States as a modern, stable, multi-ethnic democracy is threatened by a White rural minority that wields outsize electoral power.”
