Two Americas

The 68 million^ legal voters who cast a ballot for corrupt, demented Joe Biden in 2020 can be (partially) forgiven because 1) Big Media lied about his corruption, 2) Big Media hid his dementia, and 3) he, his political hacks & Big Media pretended he would govern as a moderate.  However, after three years of misery & destruction intentionally brought on by Biden’s policies, I marvel that any breathing voters admit they will vote for him again.  His support should be less than 10%, those who are sucking off the federal teet in one way or another. What excuse do they have now?

Thanks to a recent survey, we now know most of these voters are greedy, arrogant “me, me, me” types who wallow in a delusional world created by Democrats.  Eighty-four percent of “elites” and 44% of “ordinary” voters want the destruction to continue.

ONE PERCENTERS’ PLANS: FRIGHTENING

The majority of the “elite” are happy to watch the Biden Regime destroy America.  They believe they will remain at the top of the heap and the rest of us will be reduced to serfs. A new Rasmussen study was released in January by the Committee to Unleash Prosperity.  The study revealed there are two Americas in the minds of “elites” versus “non-elites.”  The one percent views America much differently than the other 99 percent, and they want the 99 percent denied their civil rights.

Rasmussen compared 1,000 individuals in the “elite” group to a representative sample of 1,000 registered voters. The findings paint a stark picture of two divergent Americas.  One America is represented by the views of most of those in the middle and lower classes, and the other America is represented by the views of most of those who have a culturally "elite" status based on their income, education, and neighborhood. The survey defined “elite” status as those who have at least one postgraduate degree, $150,000+ annual income, and live in a high-density urban residence.*

ONE PERCENTERS HATE AMERICANS’ FREEDOMS

Individual Freedom: “Elites” are three times more likely than all Americans to say there is too much individual freedom in America. Nearly 60% of “elites” hold this view, compared to 16% of ordinary voters.  Diane’s take: That means the “elites” do not want YOU to have Freedom of Speech, voting rights, freedom to live your life as you see fit, etc.  They want government to suppress and control YOU, but not them.

Perhaps the most alarming finding was the fact that 54% of “elites” under age 35, compared to 10% of those over age 55, want our freedoms suppressed.  Freedom of Speech? Get rid of it, says over half of the “elites.”  Freedom of the Press?  Over half of “elites” want the government to control the press.  Freedom of Religion?  At least fifty percent of “elites” want Christians persecuted and chased out of the public square. 

Financial Well-being: Nearly three-quarters of the “elites” surveyed, 74%, believe they are financially better off now than they were when Joe Biden entered the White House. Only 20% of ordinary Americans feel the same way.  Diane’s take:  The “elites” probably ARE better off under the Biden Regime because his Leftist minions enacted policies, laws & regulations that transfer income & wealth from everyday Americans to the “elite.”  Put another way, everyday Americans are getting ever poorer while “elites” are getting ever richer.  Let us not forget that nine out of ten of the wealthiest counties are in the Washington DC Metro Area where tax money confiscated from everyday Americans is used to build a bigger & bigger bureaucracy which suppresses our freedoms while transferring wealth to many in the survey’s “elite” group.

Climate Change: An astonishing 77% of “elites” favor rationing energy, gas, and meat to combat climate change, without any proof that such “luxuries” cause even a tiny change in the climate. Among all Americans, 63% oppose rationing.  Diane’s take: The “elites” believe that THEY will not be subject to rationing.  They believe THAT will only apply to the serfs who occupy the ninety-nine percent.

Cars, Household Appliances:  Between 53% and 72% of “elites” want the government to confiscate your air conditioner, your SUV, your gas stove, and your gas-powered car, compared to between 13% and 25% of ordinary Americans who want us to reduce our standard of living to the level that existed in the 1910s. Perhaps the most disgusting desire of the “elites” is found in their desire to prevent YOU from taking that “non-essential” airplane trip.  They, of course, will decide what is “non-essential” because they have a voice the Deep State listens to, and you do not.  Only 22% of ordinary Americans agree with them.  Diane’s take: The “elites” believe THEY will still have all the freedom to own these items and to travel at whim, because the government looks out for them.

Education: Sixty-seven percent of “elites” and 38% of ordinary voters believe only the government & “education professionals,” and not parents, should determine what and how children are taught.  Diane’s take: kicking parents out of the decision-making process assures that the next generation will be even more indoctrinated and even less educated than the last generation.   

Government Trust: “Elites” display significantly higher trust in the government than the general public, with 70% expressing confidence in its ability to "do the right thing" compared to only 35% of all Americans.  Diane’s Take:  Of course, the “elites” trust Big Government.  Big Government is working for THEM, not for the rest of us.

Political Engagement: “Elites” talk about politics far more frequently than the average American. Nearly 30% talk politics daily or almost daily compared to just 9% of ordinary voters.  Diane’s take: “Elites” believe politics is what will keep them at the top, above the fray during a Democrat Administration, as the rest of America is pushed down into poverty or near poverty.

Diane’s conclusion: I am forced, once again, to ask the question I have been asking for over two years: Are Biden supporters Useful Idiots or Enemies Of The People? I will let you answer that question in the comment section of this article.

WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?

The survey also found that “elites” who attended Ivy League and other "elite" schools tend to hold even more extreme Leftist views than their peers from non-Ivy League schools, further widening the gap with mainstream Americans.  The survey’s findings reveal a disturbing divide in perspectives and priorities between “elites” and everyday Americans that is, no doubt, fueling the populist MAGA movement. 

Where do we go from here?  Bridging the gap between the One Percent whose voices are heard by the Deep State and the Ninety-Nine Percent whom the Deep State ignores would require open dialogue, mutual respect, and a commitment to upholding the fundamental principles of liberty and equality that have long defined the American experience.  Democrats shut out and shut down all opposing voices, and they disdain America’s founding principles.  Where does that leave us?

^Biden allegedly received 81.3Mil votes.  Obama was extremely popular yet he received only 69.5Mil (2008) and 65.9Mil (2012).  Trump received 62.9Mil (2016) and 74.2Mil (2020).  There were only 168.31 million registered voters in 2020. Allegedly, 155.5 million voted. It is statistically impossible that over 92% of registered voters actually cast a ballot in 2020.

*Although the survey calls the One Percenters “elites,” and although, until we escaped the Portland riots in 2020, my husband & I were members of the “elites” as the survey defined them, we do not consider ourselves to be “elites.”  We are Americans who acquired our income and wealth, not through selling our souls to The Left and not through some corrupt program such as DEI, and not through harming our fellow citizens as Biden’s FBI does, but through hard work and sacrifice.
