This is all part and parcel of SEL! Sickening! If we think the divisiveness is bad today, just imagine what the country will be like when all these kids are adults?! Those who were raised in urban woke echo chambers vis-a-vis small town rural folks. At that point we really will be living in two realities.

Jo: I want to understand SEL from a layman's viewpoint. I may write about it AND I need this information because I am a member of a watchdog group watching local school board. I am 95% certain they use SEL. Please send me an email at your convenience. Diane

I’d care, but for two issues:

1. Any parent sending their kids to public schools is asking for this behavior

2. Portland voters are getting what they voted for, “good and hard.”

It’s exactly the same issue as women voting 60% D & then complaining about the results of D policies: getting raped by decarcerated thugs, their kids not being taught literacy & numeracy, inflation on a rampage, and their daughters’ lifetime of practice for sports going up in an erection.

Alexander: Yes. I am thoroughly disgusted with parents who have dumped their children into government schools these last 30-40 years. Every American is now suffering from the stupidity and hatred. Portland voters are 90% Democrats. Diane https://dianelgruber.substack.com/p/education-officials-declare-oregons

I was born and raised in South Africa. I remember when apartheid laws were passed by the Nationalist Government in 1948. English and Afrikaans speaking school kids were separated and sent to different schools. No black children attended the whites only schools. We were all separated by race and language. It didn't end well. It's stunning to witness Democrats, and the institutions they control, apply the principles of apartheid in today's America. No one benefits from this racially charged abomination, least of all the students forced to suffer the indignities and negative responses created by affirmative action decisions in schools or the workplace. It's a burden that should not be forced on anyone. We should all be treated equally with no special dispensation based on race, ethnicity or gender. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
