Starving Americans: One State At A Time
If you have been paying attention, you know Globalists around the world have been reducing food production, but some farmers have been fighting back. Think Americans will always have enough to eat? Think again. Oregon and Pennsylvania have joined the Biden Regime in shutting down family farms with the tyrannical goal of reducing food production and food access. They have already started killing off the weakest: small and micro family farmers.
OREGON
The Marxist State of Oregon is shutting down small, even micro, family farms throughout the state en masse under the guise of water conservation and groundwater protection. The tyranny started in 2021 under the previous governor and continues under the current governor.* Overlords in the Beaver State re-imagined the rules to, essentially, outlaw small family farms. They renamed them “concentrated animal feeding operations,” or CAFOs, in order to shut them down “for the environment.”
The State of Oregon is using satellite technology to find their victims, small farms & market gardens,^ and sending them cease-and-desist letters that tell them they can’t operate. Bulldoze your crops and slaughter your animals NOW, or we will fine you into bankruptcy and take your land!
Re-defining, Reinterpreting, Re-Imagining
The way that the State of Oregon has re-defined CAFOs impacts nearly everybody with a “farm animal” or a vegetable garden, even a family who has a few chicken for personal egg production on a small city lot. Based on this new definition, “farms” that were exempt before, are now deemed as CAFOs. If you are concerned enough about the comfort of your animals to provide them with a place where they can escape wet ground in rainy Oregon so they can stand on concrete, rock or fibrous material, you are in violation of the new rules. You are also in violation if your property has rock or gravel used as a pathway to get to a small barn or coop. NOTE: It rains a lot throughout the year in western Oregon. A lot.
Also in 2021, Oregon’s Overlords drafted a rule that farmers are not allowed to use water from their own private wells to irrigate their crops and hydrate their animals without a government permit. Coupled with the CAFO rule, this water rule is also being used to shut down farms because they are now prevented from using the amount of water needed to water their crops and animals.
Market gardeners on a half-acre of land are now receiving cease-and-desist orders saying, “you can’t water your gardens; figure out another way.”
Oregon has already shut down some farms. Small dairy farmers have filed suit against the state. The state’s demands are too expensive because small farmers can’t afford to buy the useless equipment the state demands they install. Of course, Oregon’s Overlords know that. PENNSYLVANIA
Pennsylvania is using a variety of ways to destroy small farmers. It is using Eminent Domain to close & confiscate Amish farms in Centre County using the excuse that a freeway overpass is more important than food. In Lancaster County, the State of Pennsylvania successfully used the “safety” excuse to shut down an Amish organic dairy that has been in operation for 20 years without a single food safety complaint. Just weeks ago, the state managed to do what the Biden Regime couldn’t: shut down the same organic milk producer, Amos Miller Organic Farms.
GOAL
The obvious goal in all this is to concentrate even more power and control over the food market into the hands of just a wealthy few (buddies of the Ruling Elite) while depriving small farmers of their livelihoods and incomes, not to mention their God-given, constitutionally-protected right to grow, produce, consume and sell the fruit of their labor for sustenance.
Be warned that if this kind of thing can happen in Oregon and Pennsylvania, it can happen everywhere. Tyranny usually starts in one area as a test case, and if the general public does not resist, it spreads like a virus elsewhere.
Americans, no matter what state we live in, have a constitutional right to food freedom. The Marxists who own Oregon and Pennsylvania hate this idea. So does the Biden Regime.
In the past two years there have been a multitude of fires at food production plants that have killed chickens, turkeys and 18,000 cows, which died in an explosion and fire at a Texas dairy farm in April 2023, and may be largest cattle killing ever. On January 23, 2024, fire mysteriously broke out at a crab-landing facility in Ilwaco, Washington, causing significant damage that destroyed thousands of crab pots and fishing gear just one week before Washington’s commercial Dungeness crab season opened. The mainstream propaganda media calls our concerns about these food production plant fires "conspiracy theories," just as they did the facts disclosed about the Covid Pandemic, Hunter Biden's laptop and the J-6 "insurrection." All of these "conspiracy theories" were proven to be fact, not fiction.
