Great article Diane, I have always respected people's difference of opinion as a Christian and conservative. I think in today's society we just shut each other down, instead of listening and respecting each other's opinion. Liberals are good when they lose a debate or argument they like to get personal with the name calling and personal attacks.

Pardon my language but, women can be such BITCHES to each other! The leftists are THE WORST! They just LOVE to tout how 'tolerant' they are; yet, they have NO KNOWLEDGE of the MEANING of that word, CLEARLY! The most virulent women I have ever met are leftists--some I have known most of my life--yet, they block me on FAKEbook, insuated bad things about my character to me or are otherwise disparaging. I had one friend since kindergarten block me for liking Trump. She was married to a wonderful man from Mexico City and she took great offense at what Trump said after coming down the escalator--you know, the 'properly' sanitized media version of how all Mexican's are rapists and murderers--NOT what he said. I tried explaining that it was a LIE and I even said I am of Mexican heritage myself and I didn't take offense to what he ACTUALLY said. She had NO CLUE I was part Mexican and 'seemed' to finally accept the TRUTH--then I found out she blocked me on FAKEbook. Syonara old friend! Funny thing is that when I looked back on our childhood together and I remembered the many times she was NOT a good friend at all--I count my BLESSINGS and I offer up a prayer for her every now and then--I think she REALLY NEEDS IT!

Jer: Yep! I am a Baby Boomer. When I was putting together a class reunion in 2011, I was shocked at how many of the kids I grew up with had turned into hateful Leftists. I left my hometown 3 days after graduation so I had not seen any of them, except one, FOR YEARS. Oh, BTW, this group of lawyers held a follow up evening two months later so they could continue the sobfest & hatefest, they held it in a secret location for fear that I would come. Seriously, after I RSVP'd and told them I was bringing 2 friends, they changed the location. Why are Leftist so afraid of others' ideas? Do you have a "Living Behind Enemy Lines" story for me? I need more that are NOT my experiences: DianeLGruber@gmail.com

I, too, am a baby boomer. I grew up in a merit-based society where you chased opportunities and worked hard. If you failed at times, no one cared if you whined and cried. You just had to start over and work harder. I would offer that advice to Gen Z Americans.

Sorry, but that was probably the only story because all my "friends" know that I am someone who has an over-abundance of common sense and decency who will NOT put up with being bullied or treated poorly. Most do not try to be mean to me to my face--and because I always do nice things for everyone so it would prove to THEM how uncharitable THEY ARE. Oh, I do have some about a prior boss--real piece of work--that I could share but it is short. I will email you.

I have very few women friends left after 2016. Shortly after Trumps election, my sister in law, a middle aged white liberal and quintesentia Karen, posted something about some kid who beat up another kid and was supposedly empowered by the election to do so. The post asserted that white Christians were responsible and had better do something about it. I asked her why they thought only Christians and why only white ones are capable of responding to bullying issues, arent people of all colors and all faiths responsible for and capable of responding to those who are hurting? She didnt have an answer gor me.

Within days of Trump's win, three people who have known me for decades and know that my long time best friend is "of color" and that my hubby & I helped her immigrate to America, called me a racist because I voted for Trump: my sister, my hubby's cousin, my friend's nephew WHO WOULD NOT BE AN AMERICAN WERE IT NOT FOR ME. After my friend immigrated here, she helped her sister immigrate here. The sister gave birth to two American citizens.
