2024 Is Last Chance To Save America

Throughout the 1970s & 1980s, one could see “Don’t Californicate Oregon” on the I-5 freeway that flowed through Oregon, from the California/Mexico border to the Washington/Canada border. The signs were more numerous near the Oregon/California border, of course. This was a not-too-polite way to tell Californians moving to Oregon to leave their Leftist politics behind. I don’t recall when these signs started disappearing; but, the warning was not taken seriously. Ever more Democrats took over the State of Oregon, many from California, and implemented the same policies that turned California from one of the most prosperous states in the union, into the Third World cesspool it is today.

WE WATCHED THE DISINTEGRATION OF OREGON

My husband and I lived in the Portland area for 44 years, and watched the incremental decline in virtually every aspect of life, as Democrat voters voted in ever more insane politicians and policies. And, yes, most Californians who fled to Oregon brought their Leftist insanity with them. Indeed, most such transplants seemed incapable of recognizing that the policies & politicians they voted for caused the problems from which they fled.^

As taxes went up, services for the average Oregonian went down because the money was being used on worthless programs that funneled citizens’ money to Democrat donors, NGOs and other grifters. In the last decade, homeless Oregonians have increased tenfold, violent crime has taken over the streets in the bigger cities, the police have been sidelined & demoralized, illegal aliens are treated like super citizens, and every form of woke insanity has been implemented including castration of small children at the biggest health care system in the state, Oregon Health Sciences University.

California, Oregon and Washington, all owned by Democrats for decades, are virtually indistinguishable. Sane residents refer to these three Left Coast states as COW. When one comes up with an asinine idea, the other two quickly copy it. Now, the Democrat candidates for president and vice president want to spread California insanity (and Minnesota insanity) to every state in the union. Indeed, given Tim Walz’s close personal relationship with the Chinese Communist Party and his love of Mao Zedong’s “Little Red Book,” the tyranny will come with a Maoist twist.

Since Kamala Harris chose Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate, I have been researching life in Minnesota. It appears that Governor Walz wasted little time in turning the largest city, Minneapolis, into a hellscape similar to Oregon’s biggest city, Portland. Now, he and Harris are hoping to “Californicate America.”

^In August 2018, I was walking Raindrop & Misty, our two precious Boston Terriers, through our neighborhood in West Linn, Oregon, a suburb of Portland, when I met a nice middle-aged couple who just moved in. They were so happy to escape San Francisco where they had both lived their entire lives, telling me they could no longer stand the crime, filth, high taxes, drugs, homelessness, bad schools, corruption, et al.  They were desperate to get their daughter out of there.  This couple thought Portland & West Linn were wonderful. They thought they had found paradise and talked my ear off while my dogs waited patiently.

As they spoke, I felt sorry for them.  I knew that Portland, where 90% of voters are Delusional Democrats, was just a few years behind SF. There were signs everywhere that Portland & West Linn were falling into the same Marxist nightmare as San Francisco.  This couple was probably unaware that Portland gave birth to the domestic terrorist gang who call themselves Antifa. I did not have the heart to tell them they should have moved to, for example, southern Idaho or South Dakota.

As my husband and I were preparing our dream home for sale in October 2020, desperate to escape the BLM/Antifa hellhole created by Democrats, we drove by their home. THEY HAD A BIDEN/HARRIS SIGN IN THEIR FRONTYARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They had not learned a thing!!!
