Newsom's Father-In-Law Escaped California For Florida

Since I published this article I learned that Newsom’s wife is a campaign adviser. And she agrees with me!!! The empty suit with veneer teeth was failing so badly that she marched onto the stage and declared "We're done!" during the last break. Like most Democrats when they are losing a debate, another adviser, Sean Clegg, claimed "The debate was rigged," that there was a teleprompter set up for DeSantis. Ha! If true, why didn't the hair-gelled mannequin stop the debate before the camera was turned on? Gavin's team was also angered that DeSantis held up two documents: A page of porn from a California grade school book and the "poop map" created by the City of San Francisco. Ha-Ha! There were two big laughs last night: When Newsom blamed Congressional Republicans for the invasion our southern border these last three years and, when DeSantis held up San Francisco’s “poop map.”

Sean Hannity failed to get California Governor Gavin Newsom to answer a single question. While my husband yelled “answer the questions, you Liberal jackass” or “Sean, control this bully,” Newsom spent the entire 100-minute “debate” spewing talking points without dealing with the facts. Totally unable to defend his record in California, Newsom talked over Florida Governor Ron DeSantis during much of his answers while the TV audience struggled to hear DeSantis. One must admit, however, since the stats all favored Florida over California, there wasn’t much DeSantis could add. Indeed, it was most entertaining watching the Democrats’ favorite mannequin run from the stats, pretending he did not notice them or claiming they were false.

THE DIFFERENCES WERE STARTLING

Hannity started each question with statistics. The first question on the screen showed that 750,000+ Americans had moved into Florida in 2021-2022, while 454,000 had moved out of California. DeSantis explained why the U-Haul company ran out of trucks & trailers in California, and Newsom prattled on, ignoring the question. Newsom did not bat an eye when DeSantis related his encounter with a new Floridian who had moved from California. The man explained that everything had turned bad in the Golden State and Florida was better governed, had lower taxes, was safer, and had a better budget. At the end of their discussion, the man said “by the way, I am Gavin Newsom’s father-in-law.”

CRIME: PUTTING LIPSTICK ON THAT PIG

This American was the most taken by the stats for violent crime. The number of serious crimes in California, per capita, was three times the number in Florida, and way above the national average. Gavin smirked. Florida’s were below the national average. Ron smiled.

Newsom brought up the topic of mass shootings. Despite the fact that California is No. 1 in gun restrictions and Florida is No. 19, there have been 21 mass shooting in California since 2019 compared to Florida’s nine mass shootings.

EDUCATION? PARENTAL RIGHTS?

Florida ranks first in the quality of education and spends $12,000 per student. California ranks 20th and spends $16,000. California puts sexually graphic books into public schools and DeSantis signed a bill banning it in public education. His state recently cut ties with the American Library Association over their promotion of Marxism, racism and sexually grooming children. Newsom played word games with this topic, calling it “book burning” because parents don’t want their kids exposed to pornography. DeSantis claimed that minors can travel to California for sex change operations without their parents consent. This is true. Last year Newsom signed a bill making his state a “sanctuary” state for youth seeking cross sex hormones, genital surgery, et al. He whined that DeSantis has no compassion. Where will Newsom’s compassion be a decade or two hence when the child is grown and regrets the decision that radically & permanently changed his/her body?

BORDER INVASION: ALL REPUBLICANS’ FAULT

When the border patrol’s stats were on the screen, displaying that 11 million foreign invaders, invited in by Biden on his first day in office, were now living in America, being supported with our tax dollars, Newsom blamed Republicans in congress. California is a sanctuary state who will not allow ICE to deport illegal aliens who have committed crimes. And, what about foreign terrorists crossing our southern border? Newsom shrugged that off!

ECONOMY? TAXES?

Florida is currently enjoying 2.8% unemployment, while California has 4.8%. California’s 8.84% corporate taxes chase businesses out of the state, many to Texas. Florida is relatively business friendly with 5.5% corporate taxes. California has 6% state income taxes and Florida has none. Sales taxes in the Golden State (7.75%) are over twice as high than in the Sunshine State (3.5%). And California’s gas taxes are twice as high as Florida’s, which Newsom blamed on gas & oil companies. Ha!

HOMELESSNESS: STARK COMPARISON

The stats showed that Florida’s homeless population is 12 per 10,000. California’s is 44 per 10,000 residents. During the last decade, the Sunshine State’s homelessness has decreased about 45%, while California’s has increased about 45%, according to DeSantis. Newsom did not refute these percentages.

The highlight of the evening occurred when DeSantis held up the San Francisco Poop Map. The City of SF keeps track of the locations of human excrement left by homeless residents. [Newsom was on the SF Board of Supervisors, 1997-2004 and was SF mayor, 2004-2011.] Newsom smirked.

CALIFORNICATING AMERICA

For decades Oregonians worried about their state becoming just another California with high taxes, high crime, failing schools and social rot, as more and more people moved from the Golden State to the Beaver State, bringing their Liberal ideas with them. And it happened. Oregon & California are virtually indistinguishable now. California is just a little head of Oregon in its decline into Third World status.

Governor DeSantis called Newsom’s a “shadow campaign” for president given that he has been acting like he is running for the Democrat nomination, but does not dare declare. It was interesting to watch Newsom squirm when he was asked about Biden’s dementia. He verbally stood behind the Biden/Harris history of failures because he does not dare make the Biden Regime mad. Look how they turned on Democrat Eric Adams, mayor of New York City, when he mildly criticized their open border policy.

If Gavin Newsom makes it to the Oval Office he will Californicate all of America as quickly as he can, and all Americans will suffer.

This was less a debate between Newsom and DeSantis than it was a debate between Newsom and the statistics. Newsom failed miserably; but, we learned he is a glib & shameless liar who smirks when he is losing the argument.
