The American Banana Republic took shape in 2009 when Barack Obama was inaugurated. He and his “wingman,” AG Eric Holder turned the Patriot Act and FISA court on American citizens, more specifically their Republican political opponents. It was Obama keeping his word to “fundamentally transform America.” Today his embittered, low character sidekick, Joe Biden, is trying to prove himself an even better despot by having his minions send his nemesis and political opponent, President Trump, to prison in true Banana Republic style.

I am hearing more & more Americans in their 70s say something like "I hope I am gone before the collapse."

We oldsters see the writing on the wall. We know about communism and the Stasi and just how brutal it is. The Trump trial in New York City could be a scene out of 1970s East Germany. Young people today have no perspective. They don’t learn history, they are brainwashed.

Too many Americans understand 40 are dishonest and lazy. My niece is almost 55, has not worked for 7 years. Just applied for two jobs: post office and Tillamook PUD, they hired her within days. I think it is because they have had so much trouble with younger employees. She took the PO job.

There are employee shortages in the petroleum services and commercial fishing industries that go wanting. Younger folk are not interested in physically demanding hard work with long hours despite the excellent salaries. Lucrative government welfare programs are intentionally killing the job market. Read a surprising report today out of the UK that an official wants to end all government welfare for job seekers after they’ve received 12 months of unemployment benefits. Remember the furor in the nineties when Speaker Newt Gingrich introduced similar legislation in Congress. I think Clinton signed the legislation and the result was a resounding success.
