As they turn their sites to the South Carolina primary, Democrats are scared: more & more black Americans are drifting away from Biden to Trump. The state is 29% black and black voters there were credited for making a demented, corrupt man their Democrat presidential nominee in 2020. So confident that blacks would keep Biden in the White House was the DNC, they cancelled this year’s primaries in Iowa and New Hampshire. Too much “whiteness” they said. Can’t trust whitey to vote for more corruption and Globalism. They are waiting for South Carolina’s blacks to show the rest of the black population how to vote. Blacks, they reasoned, haven’t yet figured out that the Biden Regime is destroying our country and wiping out our freedoms. Illegals taking jobs away from blacks? Surely, no one has noticed.
Having sold their souls to Progressive and Marxist policies, the Democrats could not find anyone other than an aged grifter to carry their banner in 2020. In 2024 they again have no one who would/could step forward to push Obama’s puppet out of the way. The capped-tooth, gelled-hair man from California made such a fool of himself at a November debate, he is still hiding from the media. With Blue States dying due to decades of Democrat rule & ruin, they have no governors or senators who dare run for president.
THE CONTRAST IS CLEAR
Blacks had their eyes opened by what the Billionaire president* did for them, that no prior president had bothered to do. President Trump did more for lower-income, working Americans than any president in the modern era. The lives of black Americans had not improved that much since Republicans were finally able to end the Jim Crow days of the Democrat South.
Bidenomics was never intended to help working Americans, and certainly didn’t help blacks. As 40% of American companies plan layoff this year, Biden is likely to lose even more black voters. Blacks have memories, too.
STOCK MARKET CELEBRATED TRUMP’S WIN & JOBS RETURNED
Americans suffered from a stagnant economy for 16-17 years (I call this the Bush/Obama Recession) while the White House showed little or no interest in improving it. The day after Trump’s election in 2016 the stock market showed its pleasure at the idea of having a businessman/non-politician in the White House, and broke records over the next three years, until China released the Fauci Flu.
The biggest win for the average American, however, was the return of jobs that Democrats said were long gone. Less than two years into his first term, Trump could boast of 7.1 Million new jobs added to the economy, with 1.3 Million going to black Americans.
NOTE: Black Americans make up only 13.4% of America’s population, yet they won 18.3% of the new jobs.
AFTER GENERATIONS OF DEMS’ LIES, BLACKS THRIVED UNDER TRUMP
During the first year of the Obama Administration (2009) the black unemployment rate shot up from 10% to 15%, and it kept rising. In 2010 & 2011 unemployment for black Americans was above 16%. Even more shocking, President Obama was comfortable keeping black unemployment well above 10% for six years (2009-2014). When Obama left office, it finally dropped to 9%, a point lower than the rate he had “inherited” from Bush 43. The black unemployment rate was continuously below 7% for two straight years during the Trump Administration, an all time record. Just before the Covid lockdowns, it was 5.5%.
OBAMA & BIDEN LIKE HIGH BLACK POVERTY
President Obama kept black poverty at well above 20% for seven years (above 24% in 2010-2011), dropping it to 19% in his last year (2016). Under the Trump Economy wages rose, and continued rising for three years. The poverty rate for black Americans was the lowest in history, with 350,000 fewer blacks living in poverty. Indeed, in just Trump’s first year in office, the black poverty rate fell from 19% to 18.2%, then to 17.7% in 2018, then to 16.3% in 2019.
BLACKS WERE THRIVING IN EDUCATION, TOO
President Trump made supporting Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) a top priority. Within weeks of taking office, he announced the President’s Board of Advisors on HBCUs, and signed an Executive Order establishing an Interagency Working Group to advance and coordinate work regarding HBCUs. Trump moved the federal HBCU initiative office back into the White House. Black education leaders requested this from President Obama but he refused. In addition, Trump appropriated more money than any other president to HBCUs.
President Trump signed legislation to increase federal funding for HBCUs by 13%. Through the Capital Financing Program, the Trump Administration provided more than $500 million in loans to HBCUs. President Trump directed the entire federal government to develop a strategy to support HBCUs. The Trump Administration forgave more than $300 million in outstanding debt for four schools impacted by natural disasters and the budget provided $10 million to defer loan payments for six black schools facing financial difficulties.
Trump’s Department of Education worked with HBCUs to protect $80 million in Title III carryover funding. President Trump took a big step to end discriminatory restrictions to prevent faith based HBCUs from accessing federal support, and worked with HBCUs to expand apprenticeship opportunities, career choices, and to ensure they are receiving adequate support.
