While I want nobody to be homeless, Democrats have traditionally focused on giving loans to people who can't afford it to BUY a house (or "forgiving" loans) without realizing that not everybody SHOULD own a home. Home OWNERSHIP is NOT a reasonable dream for everybody!
For some people, RENTING apartments are the only way to go. Not everybody with a sketchy work history or few jobs skills can PAY for a home. And when they get them, many have no idea how to do routine maintenance. So homes --- and neighborhoods --- fall apart. Irresponsible people who are grew up accustomed to calling "the super" whenever they flushed a diaper down the toilet or broke a window or shorted out the whole electrical system or punched out a window screen can't do that when it's their own home if they don't have the money or skills for repairs.
Home and auto repair skills should be taught in schools, along with financial management, and some job skills. They were when I went to school back in the Age of Dinosaurs.
But instead we now have Common Core and LGBTQ propaganda. and Democrats trying to socially-engineer society into identical dumbed-down "units."
I attend school board meetings here. At Wednesday's meeting a worthless administrator was explaining how 51% grade level proficiency was good because, according to her, 70% of kids are poor. Say what? I didn't know poor kids are all stupid.
According to President Joe Biden: "POOR KIDS ARE AS SMART AS WHITE KIDS."
FYI: I grew up dirt poor in a one-bedroom garage apartment with my mother who worked 6 days a week typing. I graduated high school Magna cum Laude and got a master's degree in mathematices with a 4.0. I guess Biden didn't know that white kids can be Poor, too.
Any school admiinstratort who accepts 51% proficiency has decided that 49% of kids do not matter at all.
