US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi chose nine House members^ with Trump Derangement Syndrome, and named two of them to co-chair of the “Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol:” Bennie Thompson (D-MS) and Liz Cheney (R-WY). Of course, their goal was to twist or hide the facts and insert falsehoods in order to create a false narrative about that happened at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.
This committee was unique for several reasons. House rules require that five be Democrats (Dems had the majority then) and four be Republicans chosen by minority leader Jim Jordan. Nancy flagrantly ignored the rules, and appointed seven Democrats and only two Republicans, Cheney and rabid Trump hater RINO, Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), thus ignoring Jordan’s four choices.
According to the Oversight Subcommittee report, Cheney, a licensed attorney “emerged as the principal figure driving the Select Committee’s narrative. On May 12, 2021, Representative Cheney proudly stated, ‘I will do everything I can to ensure that the former president [Trump] never again gets anywhere near the Oval Office.’”
HUTCHINSON’S TESTIMONY WAS LAUGHABLE
In June 2022 Cassidy Hutchinson testified that the two Secret Service agents in the presidential limousine, AKA “The Beast,” on January 6, 2021 had told her that, President Trump tried to grab the wheel because the driver refused to take his motorcade to the Capitol building. According to this delusional tale, from the back seat, 70-something Trump put the 30-something driver in something of a choke hold as he was reaching for the wheel. First, it is physically impossible for anyone sitting in the back seat to reach the wheel. Second, the two Secret Service agents said such an event never happened. The J6 Committee refused to call them as witnesses because their testimony would harm the false narrative the J6 Committee was creating.
“Cassidy Hutchinson’s most outrageous claims lacked any evidence, and the Select Committee had knowledge that her claims were false when they publicly promoted her,” Oversight Subcommittee Chair Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) said in a press release.
“President Trump did not attack his Secret Service Detail at any time on January 6. President Trump did not have intelligence indicating violence on the morning of January 6. Cassidy Hutchinson falsely claimed to have drafted a handwritten note for President Trump on January 6,” he wrote. “Former Representative Liz Cheney should be investigated for potential criminal witness tampering based on the new information about her communication.”
CHENEY AND HUTCHINSON COLLUDED
In a December 15th press release, the House Committee on Administration noted that the Oversight Subcommittee, chaired by Loudermilk, had obtained never-before-seen correspondence from 2022 between Cheney and Hutchinson while Hutchinson was still a subject of the Select Committee’s investigation.
In the months prior to Hutchinson’s testimony, which the J6 Committee chose to broadcast to the public during prime time (they hired a Hollywood producer to script, film, televise this kangaroo court), Cheney communicated with Hutchinson, both directly and through an intermediary, Alyssa Farah Griffin, while Hutchinson was represented by her attorney, Stefan Passantino. The J6 Committee conducted six transcribed interviews of Hutchinson in total. Passantino represented Hutchinson for the first three interviews.
The press release noted: “It is apparent that Cheney knowingly communicated with Hutchinson — without Hutchinson’s attorney’s knowledge—and by doing so finally revealed the flawed process and alleged findings of the Select Committee. Cheney had an ethical responsibility to only communicate with Hutchinson with her attorney present. However, Hutchinson’s sensational testimony was essential to the Select Committee’s inquisition of President Trump. Thus, Cheney apparently defied her ethical responsibilities and communicated directly with Hutchinson behind Passantino’s back, encouraged her to fire Passantino, and even assisted Hutchinson in obtaining new representation.”
“Representative Cheney’s influence on Hutchinson is apparent … by her dramatic change in testimony and eventual claims against President Trump using second- and thirdhand accounts,” the report wrote.
Cheney is a licensed attorney and is well aware that all this interaction with a witness is not only unethical (and would normally get an attorney disbarred), but illegal under federal law (and under the laws in all 50 states).
TRUMP: INVESTIGATE & JAIL ALL J6 COMMITTEE MEMBERS
A House subcommittee just called for a federal criminal investigation of Liz Cheney for possible “criminal witness tampering” during her time as vice chair of the corrupt J6 Committee. In a report released on Tuesday, the House Administration’s Subcommittee on Oversight charged that Cheney communicated with the J6 Committee’s star witness, Cassidy Hutchinson, via the encrypted Signal app before Hutchinson’s perjured public testimony in June 2022.
“Based on the evidence obtained by this Subcommittee, numerous federal laws were likely broken by Liz Cheney, the former Vice Chair of the January 6 Select Committee, and these violations should be investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Evidence uncovered by the Subcommittee revealed that former Congresswoman Liz Cheney tampered with at least one witness, Cassidy Hutchinson, by secretly communicating with Hutchinson without Hutchinson’s attorney’s knowledge. This secret communication with a witness is improper and likely violates 18 U.S.C. 1512. Such action is outside the due functioning of the legislative process and therefore not protected by the Speech and Debate clause,” said the subcommittee’s report.
“The Federal Bureau of Investigation must also investigate Representative Cheney for violating 18 U.S.C. 1622, which prohibits any person from procuring another person to commit perjury. Based on the evidence obtained by this Subcommittee, Hutchinson committed perjury when she lied under oath to the Select Committee. Additionally, Hutchinson was interviewed by the FBI as part of its investigation into President Trump. This Subcommittee sought a copy of the FBI report 302, documenting this interview and Hutchinson’s statements, but the FBI has refused to produce this vital document. The FBI must immediately review the testimony given by Hutchinson in this interview to determine if she also lied in her FBI interview, and, if so, the role former Representative Cheney played in instigating Hutchinson to radically change her testimony,” the report said.
Now we know why the J6 Committee illegally deleted their communications just before Republicans took over the US House in January 2023.
In a recent interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press”, Trump said all members of the J6 Committee should go to jail, but it would be left to his Department of Justice officials to carry out the criminal investigation. Trump has nominated Pam Bondi for attorney general and Kash Patel for director of the FBI.
Some Democrats, including Vermont’s billionaire socialist Senator Bernie Sanders, have suggested Joe Biden grant preemptive pardons for Cheney and the thousands of individuals involved in the lawfare campaign against Trump. This would include every member of the J6 Committee. Biden’s preemptive pardon of his son is the first such pardon in presidential history.
Bennie Thompson was on Al Sharpton’s show on December 16th and said that he would welcome a preemptive pardon from Joe Biden for the crimes he committed while he chaired the J6 Committee. At a minimum he suborned perjury from the carefully selected “witnesses,” and destroyed evidence that did not fit the Democrats’ pre-determined (false) narrative.
DELETING AND HIDING EVIDENCE
In a report released in March, Loudermilk’s subcommittee found that the J6 Committee had “deleted records and hid evidence. Reps. (Bennie) Thompson and Cheney failed to turn over video recordings of witness interviews and depositions despite using these recordings in their high-profile, prime time hearings. The Subcommittee recovered over one hundred deleted or password-protected files, including some files that were deleted days before Republicans took the majority. They also hid multiple transcribed interviews of witnesses who had firsthand knowledge of Trump‘s actions on January 6.”
Every J6 Committee member and every staff member who were involved in the destruction of or the removal of any J6 Committee records should be prosecuted.
Agree with John Vezmar, accepting or even asking for a preemptive pardon is a confession that the party requesting or accepting the preemptive pardon is guilty of something, at least in their own mind.
Put out subpoenas for the J6 committee's arrest and allow them to replace the J6 political prisoners in jail, cell for cell, in the same conditions, with the same treatment. Leave them there for 4 years, and let Trump pardon them on 1/19/29.
That sounds kind of extreme, however these people were the ones who kept the myth of an insurrection alive, and they should pay.
If the pedophile does, then Trump should be able to overturn it!
