Trump’s idea of redistributing $3 billion in grant money from Harvard to trade schools, which he posted on May 26th, is the start of a long overdue discussion about a larger and more serious issue:
Sorry got to disagree somewhat here. We need smaller government. That money simply shouldn’t be spent. As for Community Colleges. Yes totally agree. I spent brief time there (keep my student debt from coming due). But it’s money from states and local not Federal govt. Oregon gives umpteen millions to PCC already. Agree shift focus. But that should come from already paid HS counselors, like it did in the 70s and 80s. If anything those billions should go to the other “technical” education program that is Federal, military training. That I would agree on.
