Democrats: Once A Cheater, Always A Cheater

This week four unelected Democrat hacks in Colorado removed Donald J. Trump from their state’s 2024 GOP primary ballot which, if not overturned by the US Supreme Court, could cost Trump the GOP nomination, and eventually 10 electoral votes. Was this the first time Democrats had removed a Republican from the ballot because they were afraid to compete at the ballot box?

Ten slavery states owned by Democrats removed Abraham Lincoln, who was running as the anti-slavery party’s candidate (AKA Republican Party) on the 1860 presidential ballot. This cost him 61 electoral votes out of the total of 303 available at that time: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. Thus, Americans in these ten states were prevented from voting for the anti-slavery candidate, just like four Democrat “judges” in Colorado are preventing registered voters from voting for President Trump in the Colorado GOP primary.

The Republican Party was founded in 1854 as the anti-slavery party and Lincoln was its second presidential candidate.*  Its mission was to stop the spread of slavery into the new western territories with the ultimate goal of abolishing this inhumane practice throughout the nation. With the help of George Soros and other Marxists, Democrats are continuing the efforts to suppress voting rights they started in 1860.

SOROS vs AMERICA-FIRST VOTERS

Extra legal challenges to Donald Trump's eligibility on the 2024 Republican primary ballots are underway in more than a dozen states to disqualify the America-First president so that the America-Last Biden Regime can continue the destruction of America begun by Obama.  In the Democrats’ desperate attempt to prevent Americans from putting President Trump back in the White House, they turned to George Soros’ laughingly-named Citizens for Responsibility & Ethics in Washington (CREW) to file the Colorado suit to keep Trump off the primary ballot.

In Oregon, Democrats turned to Soros’ funded “Free Speech For People,” another anti-American group which is based in Massachusetts, to keep President Trump off the ballot. Having practiced law in Oregon for 34 years, and having watched Democrats use mail-in balloting to ensure Democrats gain and maintain control, I am intrigued that they are THAT worried about Trump. The last time Oregon elected a GOP president, Ronald Reagan, was in 1984. That was before Oregon became the first vote-by-mail state (in 1996) which made election fraud easy. Why are they so scared?

The absurdly named “Free Speech For People,” along with Soros’ CREW, which is based in DC, filed suit in the swing state of Michigan to prevent their residents from casting their ballots for President Trump. “Free Speech For People” also filed suit in Minnesota, where the supreme court dismissed the action.

The lawsuits, filed by a variety of plaintiffs and Leftist legal groups, all focus on a little-used clause of the 14th Amendment that dates from the Civil War era, and disqualifies from office anyone who engaged in "insurrection or rebellion" against the United States.  This amendment, however, does not disqualify a candidate for the office of president.^ Democrats are hoping no one will notice that inconvenient fact.

Litigation is pending in 16 states,** including the crucial swing states of Michigan, Wisconsin and Arizona, according to Lawfare, a Leftist publication tracking the lawsuits. In Maine, where state law requires the secretary of state to preside over ballot challenges, a declaration on Trump's eligibility is expected shortly.

*In 1856, John Charles Fremont was the first GOP candidate for president.

^Thirteenth Amendment, Ratified July 9, 1868, Section Three:

“No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.”
