Diane this statement written by a reporter in 1963 Fletcher Nable, was his name , said it all about LBJ . “ LBJ Can’t go hunting in Texas this winter because Maria Oswald won’t give him back his rifle “ Demorats have been “eating their own “ forever , my opinion !

I can never forget Thanksgiving 1963 , Camelot was shattered , a young family was in untold grief , a nation was crushed and all LBJ could think of was how to escalate the Vietnam War !!! All the misery in the US for the past 100+ years brought on by DEMOCRATS !

I was born in ‘60, so I lived through this but was obviously way too young to understand any of it. I wasn’t aware Johnson was such a bastard with the ego to boot. I’ve often heard the theories of him being the mastermind of the assassination but always thought it was far fetched, more likely the mob or Castro. But your history lesson here gives credence to the Johnson angle.
