I CHOSE JOBS based on my health insurance plan in Florida, and when Obamacare was passed, my insurance coverage was gutted and cost MORE! (For one thing, I had to pay for coverage of condoms and other forms of birth control, although I'm nearly 80. If you can't afford a condom, you can't afford to have sex!!!) It was already expensive, but in insurance like most other things, you get what you pay for. (When people complain their insurance doesn't pay for much, it's because they bought a cheap policy.)
Worse, I am FORCED to pay for and use MEDICARE as my primary insurance. So I pay for TWO policies now and get less coverage than before. Even Worse, if Medicare refuses to pay for something that my FL insurance would pay for, my FL insurance is NOT allowed to cover it!
Obamacare is a disgusting scam. It isn't affordable, and not all people can get it. Plus, it ruined all other insurance policies that were working just fine. It is designed as another Give-Away program that doesn't work.
ALL INSURANCE IS A "SHARING OF RISK." It isn't mathematically possible for everybody to pay little and get a lot! Ten people can't each throw $5 into a pot and each take out $20.
Social Security was passed with the proviso that all the money paid in would be kept separate. The Democrats put it in the general budget and started spending it on the Viet Nam War and "poverty programs" while LBJ was in office. Now they want to give Social Security to illegals who never paid into it. Far from its promised intent.
The corrupt leadership that ruins all good things and dishes to the illegals, baby factory mama’s who make it their way of income or who are pimped out for a fat cat. Big legit families are deserving, making babies a business is not. This is harsh but we see this running rampant in our gang run town in CA. There are many very ill homeless who just fell through the cracks due to spouses passing, losing jobs, etc. and are not druggies, I admit, there are many who are severely hooked on drugs, and that is so sad, but fleecing our medicare savings and creating Medical that has been a good thing, sorely abused for gain, not survival. Even today, CA is only helping those who file taxes with extra COLA and child credits, but what about Boomers who get nothing because they make so little they don’t make enough to pay taxes? They could use a little help with gas, groceries, medication.
Hang on Boomers! They are after our frugal managed savings, and next they most likely will try and tax unrealized gains on your investments.
