In 2021 and 2022 those who waded or swam across the Rio Grande River, or walked through the gaping holes in the border wall, appeared dirty and bedraggled. They looked poor, they looked like they had walked miles & miles, perhaps from South America via the Darien Gap, perhaps from Central America over 1,500 miles away, perhaps from the poor villages of southern Mexico 1,000 miles away. And they were quite short and hispanic. They were family units, many with very small children. Some were pregnant.
And military-age men from the Middle East and Africa, nearly all of whom are Muslims.
Somehow these "desperately poor" illegal immigrants find the money to fly to Mexico from another continent. Then our government gives them free food, free housing, free medical care, free transportation, and a free cell phone.

None of these people walked for days. The Mexican govt put them on trains and fed them. Also the Mexican govt bussed their violent prisoners to the border and turned them loose to become our criminals. Going back in history to the Civil War timeline the country is slowly inching forward to another war within. We seem to tolerate abuse from our government body.
I agree with you. Consider the many different people who make up the Democratic base. Some are quite content getting as many freebies (in their mind) that are getting paid out. Free looting, burning, ignoring the mental illnesses that fuel all of these behaviors. Then there is an old style Democratic base who work for unions like the automotive industry. They still think nothing has changed about that party even though they shop at the same grocery stores we do. I’ve had so many discussions with friends that see what is happening. I went to a neighbors summer party. I was the only white person invited. There were about 30 people there. One woman who I met was an educator whose first words were “we have a breakdown of our community”. She was embarrassed. I didn’t say anything about current political events to start a conversation. Yet another person said “we have to save our democracy “ that I replied “can we have a democracy without our constitution and bill of rights?”. One issue voters are throwing all of their vote behind it in the typical Democratic Party. The Democrats are working or exploiting that. Just my personal observations.
The insanity and hatred was so bad in the Portland area, we were forced to leave the dream house we built in 1988. We could no longer live on a street with BLM signs and Democrat neighbors who scream at and threaten their conservative neighbors.
