It came as no surprise to me to learn that Trump’s first would-be assassin’s parents are BOTH social workers. Social Work is no longer a profession which helps individuals in need. It demands that its members actively strive for the racist, anti-law & order, asinine notion of “social justice.” It requires aspiring & practicing social workers to advocate for Leftist/Marxist political & social change and take part in political action on behalf of “marginalized" people & groups. The Left has never defined just who these “marginalized” people are nor where they live.
By necessity, this requires social workers to ignore the problems & needs of clients from all other groups. For the last two decades plus, American social workers and social work students have been required to engage in effective activism to change American society into a racial caste system within a Socialist/Marxist nation. Indeed, The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics lists “Social Justice” as its key mission. If a licensed social worker does not comply, they will lose their license and their employment.*
PAUL JUST WANTED TO HELP VETERANS
Paul is a trained social worker who went to college and graduate school for the express purpose of helping veterans, and he sacrificed more than most students to obtain his education. Little did he know when he started down this path over 20 years ago that the “helping professions” had been taken over by the intolerant Left which treated “traditional” social workers like kryptonite. In his own words, Paul explains how hetereosexual, Conservative, Christian, white men are treated in the “helping professions” both as students, practitioners and clients.
“I was medically retired out of the Marine Corps in 1999. Not knowing where I’d go from there, one of my buddies reminded me that I was always the “go-to guy,” and suggested I look into being a counselor. I took that to heart, and upon returning home from overseas, started Social Work school. In my research on counseling Veterans, I found that the VA and the four military branches required a Masters in Social Work. I knew it would be a challenge, but never realized how much of a challenge.
I went to several schools due to moving and life occurrences, sometimes having to take two steps back because the dean of the newest school didn’t accept credits from the previous school. I worked hard, my wife and I scrimped to survive. I slept in the camper of our old Hyundai Tucson behind the Walla Walla, WA Verizon store several nights per week for a year and a half. Then, when the amount of research required me to remain closer to the school, I lived in an old dilapidated camper on the Walla Walla River for six months. The winters there are very cold.”
Note: Paul & his wife lived in Spokane, 150 miles from his school in Walla Walla.
“I learned much about Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology and so much more. During this time, I also learned about Sociopathy, and explored both my Republicanism and Christianity much further. By the time I finished Graduate school in 2012, I realized Social Work was a Marxist endeavor with a massive bigotry against Whites, Christians, Republicans, Men, and American Conservatism. That didn’t sway me from my desire and mission to help Veterans.
At graduation time, I had a meeting with my Internship Director, and the Internship Liaison from Walla Walla University where we discussed my knowledge, skills and abilities. During that meeting, I professed how I am a Christian Conservative and can utilize what I’ve learned to help Veterans coming home from Iraq and Afghanistan. Upon hearing those two words (Christian & Conservative), there was an audible hiss from both (allegedly Christian) women simultaneously. I was not aware at the time, but this was an indicator of things to come.”
NOTE: Walla Walla University is a private university in College Place, Washington founded in 1892 by the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Despite starting out as a religious school and still being run by “Christians,” they had fully succumbed to the DEI, CRT, social justice agenda.
AT VETERANS AFFAIRS, IT WAS ALL ABOUT PUSHING A LEFTIST AGENDA, NOT ABOUT HELPING VETS
“At the VA, every morning when I checked my emails, there would be yet another Pride month/week celebration, or sometimes we were expected to honor “African Americans” or “Hispanics” or “Women” or “Homosexuals.” The powers that be saw no value in men. The celebrations were never about straight men, never about white men. They were about white women only if they were part of some Leftist/Communist cause, or maybe a long-term employee retiring. It was painfully obvious the VA Mental Health Clinic was not about helping veterans in need, but all about pushing a political/social agenda. This was counterintuitive because in the social work and counseling fields, biases of all kinds are expected to be recognized in oneself and rooted out, so as not to effect the therapist/client relationship.
The last straw with VA was when I reached GS 11-5, and found I could go no higher unless I moved to another job at some other facility. They had just changed the rules we were to abide by when treating clients, making it much harder to help patients. They were making Veterans a number, and everything about statistics and unrealistic time frames, adding in disciplinary actions against therapists for not meeting the asinine quotas. No longer could we give Veterans individualized 1:1 care. We were expected to churn them in and out like an automated factory. I walked away from an $80k/year job.”
THE NAVY WAS WORSE
“At the Navy Fleet and Family counseling job, I was a therapist to sailors and families, was expected to head up their Suicide Program, and also act as a Children’s Protective Service worker within the Navy. Each of these had heavy workloads. All five of us were grossly overworked and very unhappy. The director was a young black woman that was also overwhelmed. It was obvious early on that she had been placed in her position to meet DEI quotas. Adding to her stress, was the fact that she didn’t know what she was doing. Everybody kissed her butt because they didn’t want to be seen as ‘racist’ (the favorite buzz word of the Obama era).
In September 2019, myself and eight other Social Workers from several Washington Navy Bases were sent to Jacksonville, Florida for job-related training. The training was attended by about 250 Navy Social Workers, Psychiatrists and professional counselors from all over the world, about half men, half women. Most of the women were black. The black women had NO problem letting everyone know they were large and in charge from the very beginning. They were constantly spewing out ‘anti-racist’ jargon such as ‘mind your biases,’ ‘be careful of your microaggressions,’ ‘watch your implicit biases,’ and ‘be mindful of your role in systemic racism.’
This jargon was repeated multiple times each day of the seven-day-long training: each day started with this bullshit, which was continued many times throughout the day. It seemed the entire purpose of our training was to stroke black egos. Instead of clapping hands (which could trigger these pampered jackasses), we were to ‘deaf clap’ by raising both hands in the air and twisting them back and forth (think hand jive). They badmouthed men and pushed ‘white privilege’ themes for an entire week. I was busy writing the offensive things down and looking around to see if others were growing upset like I was.”
WAS I THE ONLY ONE?
“On a break, I asked another white male professional if he found any of it BS. He replied that he did not and dismissed it as ‘the way the world needs to start seeing things.’ I wanted to punch him. Mid-week, I went back to my hotel room, called my wife and told her, ‘I’m pretty sure that they expect me to cut my balls of and bow down in front of every black woman to kiss her feet.’ Right then, I started thinking that this job was not for me.
It was in the Dallas airport on the way back to Washington State, from the training in Jacksonville, that I decided I was going to quit. The group I was with were talking to a random couple in the airport. The couple was discussing their mission to turn Texas blue, and were bad-mouthing Donald J. Trump, President of the United States, and Commander In Chief at that time. Talking politics with co-workers and clients violated both HR rules and the Code of Ethics for Social Workers. I stepped in just like a Liberal would if co-workers were bad-mouthing Obama, and said: ‘I’m offended! I thought we are supposed to mind our biases and microaggressions, but that doesn’t seem to apply outside of training. Either you’re a Social Worker for everybody, or not a Social Worker at all.’ One of the women piped up and said: ‘We will change the conversation.’ I said ‘That doesn’t address the issue, that just changes the channel.’ I walked away to another part of the airport. Not one of them spoke to me all the way back. Not a word from Dallas to Seattle. When I returned to work, none of them spoke to me. I was an outcast.”
THE LAST STRAW! TREASON!
“Upon returning to work, my boss assigned me a couple for marriage counseling. I saw the couple for an initial session, and discovered they were male and female sailors, married for 2 years and fighting all the time. They didn’t trust each other. Perhaps that was because they were both transitioning to the opposite sex. The Navy was paying for the surgeries, the hormones, the mental health counseling, and neither of them had to go to work on their ship. That was the last straw for me. Partly because I had NO idea what to do with this truly odd couple, and partly because this was a circus run by clowns.
President Trump had ordered that transgender stuff be ended in the military. The Navy Commanders in charge of this sorry operation disobeyed their Commander In Chief and were doing it anyway. For this, they could have and should have been court-martialed. The Navy base didn’t even bother to put up Trump’s picture among the Command photos that were done for every previous president.”
