In early 2022 our next door neighbor was in the process of moving from Blue Washington to Red Montana.^ As he was preparing the house for sale, he was also assisting an elderly friend move from Oregon to Arizona, and they could not get a one-way U-Haul truck.
2021 moved from Vancouver, WA to Pacific County. Portland had oozed over the river and into Clark County. If we could sell the house we bought and are still paying off, and move out of this state, I would start packing yesterday! Our property taxes are being threatened to rise again with the hospital bond.
Audra: Us, too! We gave up our dream house in West Linn and moved to our beach house in Oysterville December 2020. The Democrats are not as nasty; BUT, it is in Dark Blue Marxist Washington. During our barely four years here we have watched the legislature, governors and AGs chip, chip, chip away at voting rights, Bill of Rights, bodily autonomy . . . Taking away choices We The People should be making. Are you aware that, on Tuesday, Recall Rangers is filing a recall petition on Pacific County Commissioner Lisa Olsen? Are you on my email list? There is A LOT going on in this county: We are fighting back. Send me an email and I will put you on my list: DianeLGruber@Gmail.com. Diane
The Democrats never stop their seditious division of the Republic. The battle cry of “States Rights!” has re-emerged as their clarion call to build their legal wall against free people.
To your title: How much longer can I remain “Living Behind Enemy Lines”.
I remain hopeful that the cavalry is coming. But, is it?
We escaped a beautiful, but Looney Liberal burb of Portland because of the riots and moved to our beach house on the Washington Coast. It is purple, the Democrats are not as nasty; BUT, it is in Dark Blue Marxist Washington. During our barely four years here we have watched the legislature, governors and AGs chip, chip, chip away at voting rights, Bill of Rights, bodily autonomy . . . Taking away choices We The People should be making.
Back in 2001, my husband and I moved from southern California to Chinook WA. We were on a road trip and when he saw Astoria from the WA side by the bridge he fell in love with what he called little San Francisco. We sold, and eventually built with that view from our living room. I downsized to the peninsula but now I wish I would have moved to a red state like Montana or Idaho. At 84, the thought of moving and starting all over is a huge negative. I only have friends in WA and no family.

Diane, I'm on the Recall Rangers email list, and FB page. I missed the last couple of meetings due to flu. I signed the original letter.
