How about an electoral college in state voting so when a candidate wins more counties they have a better chance of winning. It seems like in Washington state you only have to win 4 or 5 counties to win an election which isn't fair to the rest of the state then maybe we wouldn't have years and years of one party rule!

EXCELLENT idea! In Oregon and Washington, Portland area voters and Seattle area voters control what happens in the rest of these states. These two urban areas are small compared to the land mass in the rest of Oregon & Washington. Do you live in Washington, Steve? I am currently researching a bill that will essentially outlaw words Liberals don't like. EEEEEEEEEK!

I do live in Washington between Kelso and Castle Rock right off I-5 so I'm one of those bad rural living people. I agree that Seattle or King, Pierce, Snohomish and probably Thurston counties dominate the voting in this state while Portland, Eugene and Salem in Oregon. Another thing I would like to have is more than one choice for voting. I think next time I talk to Jim Walsh or Jeff Wilson I will bring up the electoral college and having more than mail-in voting!

Great report. This should be taught in public school. The average young person tiday has no grasp on how our country is run. Ignorance is so dangerous.

Nice summary for those that can't quite grasp the need for the electoral college. This should be taught in schools! I'll share with my teens. Thank you.
