Tolerating anything the Democrats support will be the ruin of America. We must remain vigilant.

If they want this so bad then let it also be in the neighborhoods they live in.

Here in Knoxville, TN they tried to put in low income section 8 apartments across the street from our beautiful neighborhood last year. No consideration for the roads (which get a grade F in that specific area due to congestion and accident rates) or overcrowded schools or whether they fit with the surrounding neighborhoods. It failed, thank goodness, but only after a huge uproar from local citizens like myself defeated it. Rumors had it they were intended for displaced migrant families - there was proof of this happening in Chattanooga.

Geez, Jo, you escaped Portland only to be confronted with this!!!!! We have been in the Free State of South Dakota since early May. Even though the Long Beach Peninsula is Purple, it is still in Marxist Washington where they keep chip, chip, chipping away at our Bill of Rights. Three years ago they wanted to close the two grade schools and turn them into homeless shelters of some kind, probably for Biden's "newcomers," but 71% of the highest voter turnout ever voted HELL NO.

For an even larger perspective on the destruction of rural America, consider Democrat-run Maine, where the druggie, lefty, hippie elite in the south are turning the state (with the help of the Chinese cartels) into their own local drug dispensary. My daughter bought a rural property there, only to find a year later that a homestead down the street was being converted into a massive cannabis factory. We are truly not safe anywhere. So true! Oregon is the perfect example of what you describe. They buy up farm houses, board up outbuildings and turn them into grow houses. They pollute the soil with heavy metals used in fertilizers and syphon artesian wells dry. Then they abandon the property to the bank leaving it uninhabitable. I went to court to fight a speeding ticket in my rural county and was shocked at the number of people who needed interpreters to understand the proceedings. I don’t see these people at the grocery stores or out doing business. It is a completely separate underworld operating within rural America. I was told by a county commissioner that “we” wouldn’t want to miss out on the economic opportunity that cannabis would offer the county when I tried to stop it. Grrrr. Now we have a lot of broken down farms for sale with high prices on them where developers come in, break up the property into lots for builders to invest in and to never again be farmed.

We lived in Clackamas County for 32 years. The last 20 years I had my law office near our house in West Linn. In court the taxpayers pay for the interpreter. Ever been to a doctor office? The doctor is forced by law to arrange for and pay for I interpreter. So are lawyers, but I never had to deal with that. I did not do criminal law, so did not have too many clients who needed interpreters. If so, they always brought a friend or relative to translate. We have babied adults for way too long now. THIS is just one way Americans are forced to cater to foreigners.

How are Maine Democrats working to protect the Maine population from their cartel partners? "Homeless" encampments are about drug addicts, not homelessness, and overriding local zoning is about ensuring that the Democrat business model is operational everywhere. The Democrats are total, full-on business partners with the cartels. The cartels provide the crime, and the Democrats provide the access, the legal cover, and the non-enforcement that fully enable the crime. The Party gets kickbacks on the drugs, the prostitution, the child trafficking, the slave labor, all of it. I can't imagine how stupid one has to be at this point not to realize it. Similarly, the sudden need for "low-income" housing everywhere has nothing to do with "low-income" citizens; it's about having unlimited national capacity for illegal aliens. Democrat politicians, who would have you believe that theirs is the party of "the people", are lining their pockets with campaign contributions - compensation for being shills for the enormous corporations that hire illegal aliens en masse at our expense. These corporations, who have no respect for our immigration laws, obviously can't be expected to have any respect for our tax or wage laws either. We subsidize them by paying for the public infrastructure and social welfare needed to accommodate their displacement of legitimate citizen employees with waves of impoverished newcomers. Isn't it strange how we never seem to discuss how all these tens of millions can possibly come here to be illegally employed and who is illegally employing them? In the end, the Democrats are merely the paid political operatives of the real monsters behind our social ills: the cartels and perhaps half the corporations operating in the USA. These are the same predators destroying Europe; obviously the current populations occupying those countries are not demanding and financing the importation of tens of millions of third-world immigrants. Whether you want to face it or not, your enemy these days is likely a collection of your favorite brand names and other companies who supply the makers of your consumer products. Next time you're at your favorite gym, grocery, discount store, hotel, airport, etc. or having your house re-sided or your roof replaced, you might notice that the folks doing the grunt work generally don't speak English - and those are just the folks you might actually see. The actual composition of our workforce today, were it made public, would reveal that much if not most of corporate America runs on the illegal employment of illegal aliens. Additionally, the infiltration of our country by organized foreign criminals supplying drugs, child prostitutes, and other forms of debauchery has become widespread and totally epidemic. Until we all start realizing and discussing who is pulling the Democrats' strings, nothing is going to change.
