Both "Darth Vaders" Died This Month

New York City honored the passing of James Earl Jones by projecting an image of Darth Vader on the Empire State Building.

The wonderful, melodious voice of James Earl Jones, which so many have enjoyed for decades, was silenced on September 9th. He was 93. He had a long and successful career, but he is best known for his iconic voiceover role as Darth Vader, the super villian in the Star Wars movie series which began in 1977.

Three days earlier, on September 6th, The Atlantic’s Mark Leibovich, a rabid, long time Trump hater, praised former VP Dick Cheney: “Dick Cheney, a beloved figure among Democrats for many, many years, . . .”

I found it beyond ironic that the man whom the Democrats called a warmonger, a murderer, an evil villain, the second coming of Satan, and a Darth Vader, to name just a few pejoratives spewed at VP Cheney, age 83, because of his hawkish approach to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, should suddenly turn into a “beloved figure” literally overnight due to he endorsement of Democrat Kamala Harris for president. Of course, some of their 24 years of hatred for Cheney was due to the mere fact that he was a Republican. That is ignored now that he and his daughter have joined the Democrats’ America-Last Cult.

I want those who are too young to remember Dick Cheney’s eight years as George W. Bush’s vice president (January 2001 to January 2009) to know that Democrats hated VP Cheney. Their hatred was so visceral that, even when he agreed with Democrat policies, they hated him. That is why MSNBC called Dick Cheney’s transformation into a “beloved figure” as “hell freezing over.”

MY BROTHER-IN-LAW WAS RIGHT

Long before the Era of Trump, either during the Bush 43 or the Obama years, my brother-in-law told me that Democrat and Republican politicians are like the fighters in the Worldwide Wrestling Federation (WWF). When in public, they pretend to hate each other. Behind the scenes they are buddies who hang out together. I did not fully accept his description of the DC Swamp’s politicians, UNTIL Donald J. Trump won the 2016 presidential election, when way too many Republicans joined Democrats to try to destroy Trump’s Presidency.

RINOs like Liz Cheney, Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, Adam Kinzinger, John McCain, Jeff Flake, Bob Corker and many, many other House & Senate Republicans sided with Democrats to thwart Trump’s America First Agenda. Thus, they exposed themselves as selfishly representing their own financial & career interests first, and the needs of We The People second, third or never. Liz Cheney, age 58, endorsed Harris/Walz in hopes to regain her political power, either by working in the Harris Administration, or returning as a strong member of the ole GOP establishment. She can do neither unless and until Trump AND the MAGA Movement are destroyed.

Take note, in this short video she repeated the Democrats’ tired phrase “Trump is a threat to democracy” without bothering to explain why/how he is threatening “democracy.” After all, his election as president in 2024 WILL BE an exercise in democracy, just as it was in 2016.

THAT is why Liz and her dad endorsed a known Marxist and her running mate, a self-described Mao-lover. They care only for themselves and power, not for their country and not for their fellow Americans.
