President Trump has cut Harris' lead in Minnesota in half since she named Tim Walz as her running mate, according to a KSTP poll released two weeks.

The twice elected Democrat governor of Minnesota is a drag on his presidential running mate in his own state! This, from a poll conducted in late August, which shows Trump cutting Harris’ lead in half since she chose Tim Walz to join her ticket as her running mate.

This latest KSTP presidential poll shows, out of 635 Minnesotans surveyed between August 27th & 29th, a little more than 300 respondents, or 48 percent, said if the election “were today” they would vote for Democrat candidate Kamala Harris. Just more than 270 respondents, or 43 percent, said they would vote for Republican Donald Trump.

That’s a 5-point downward swing since KSTP’s presidential poll of Minnesotans in late July, just days after President Joe Biden was forced out of the race. In that survey, conducted between July 23th & 25th, 50 percent of respondents said they would vote for Harris, and 40 percent for Trump.

WILL TRUMP WIN THE STATE?

Does Trump have an opportunity to turn Minnesota red in a presidential race for the first time since Richard Nixon carried the state in 1972? Obviously, the far-left policy records and rhetoric from both Kamala Harris & Tim Walz, especially Walz’s promotion of the 2020 riots and his severe Covid lockdown mandates, are to blame for the decrease in the polls since Harris added Walz to the ticket.

While Trump very narrowly lost to Hillary Clinton in Minnesota during his first presidential bid in 2016, his margin of defeat was seven percent in 2020 due, in part, to the fact that the state’s election system (Walz was governor) was designed to promote election fraud statewide.

“In the aftermath of Joe Biden dropping out of the Presidential race, Democrats became giddy at the prospect of ‘anyone but Joe’ on the ballot,” said David Hann, chair of the Republican Party of Minnesota. “But serious observers of the political process know that reality always sets in. KSTP’s new poll shows what we have known all along: Harris is a radical San Francisco extremist, Walz is a Left-wing partisan with a mean streak, and Minnesota voters want better for their families and businesses.”

Walz’s record in Minnesota, includes multiple lies about his military service record, his horrible response to the 2020 riots, his record on abortion which includes slaughtering a full term baby, his many mandates regarding illegal immigration wherein he gave illegals free health care, free college tuition, drivers’ licenses and voting rights, and the fact that he signed into law a nearly 40-percent increase to the state budget over the last two years, when Democrats controlled both houses of the legislature.
