Again, The Left Is Eating Their Own
Remember Liberal SCOTUS Justice Stephen G. Breyer, a Democrat who was nominated by President Clinton? Starting in 2021, The Loony Left started calling for his retirement, not because they were unhappy with his rulings, but because he was “too moderate” of a Liberal to suit them, and because they wanted Joe Biden to be able to appoint a younger justice before he was kicked out of the White House. They loathed the fact that President Trump was able to appoint three justices in his first term, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh & Amy Coney-Barrett.
The Crazed Left assumed Biden would appoint a raving Marxist to Breyer’s seat. They were not disappointed. Biden’s nominee, Ketanji Brown Jackson, during her Senate confirmation hearing, signaled to her delusional base that she would vote with them by claiming she did not know what a woman was. We recently learned that she believes Big Government has First Amendment rights.
IT IS SONIA’S TURN
Early last year, Politico reported that private discussions had begun among Democrats who want their reliably-Hard-Left Justice Sonia Sotomayor to retire before the 2024 election. Either Dear Sonia, who is generally viewed as the dumbest justice on the court, has not heard it was time to take her diabetic backside off the Supreme Court’s bench, or she felt she had more to contribute toward the destruction of America. Either way, they are now turning up the heat under her seat.
In the Atlantic, Josh Barro recently argued that Democrats should go public with their resignation demands. Remember the huge “Retire Breyer” sign they put on trucks and continually drove them around DC and past the Supreme Court building? It worked! Breyer, age 83 and in good health, retired a year before he had planned, according to insiders.
Sotomayor^ will turn 70 in June. I certainly see age 70 as relatively young. Perhaps the Crazed Leftists who are demanding her resignation do, too. However, poor Sonia is not in good health. She has Type One Diabetes, the worse type, diagnosed at age 7. I don’t need to explain to my readers what that means.
With Donald Trump likely to return to the White House next January, Sotomayor would have to live until at least January 2029, and perhaps much longer, before a Democrat regains the White House, reasons Barro. He whines that Democrats are too afraid to raise the idea publicly because Sotomayor is the court's first Latina. In other words, it was perfectly acceptable to treat a white man like a used up, dried up commodity, but you can’t treat a “woman of color” that way. Can Barro spell R A C I S T?
"This is incredibly gutless," Barro writes. "You're worried about putting control of the Court completely out of reach for more than a generation, but because she is Latina, you can't hurry along an official who's putting your entire policy project at risk? If this is how the Democratic Party operates, it deserves to lose." Sotomayor is "a diabetic who has in some instances traveled with a medic," Barro claims.
Associate Justice Sonia Maria Sotomayor was nominated by President Barack Obama on May 26, 2009, and has served since August 8, 2009.
Normally only the GOP is this stupid. But that’s where identity politics leads.
Ordinarily when a Democrat official receives the "you need to retire" they understand that their exit is pending on their acceptance of reality, Go or Die. With the medical advances currently available, as illustrated by the Democrats ability to keep a walking cadaver in the White House, she should be able to fog a mirror for at least another 8 years!
