On Nov. 1, 2016, Douglass Mackey, AKA Ricky Vaughn, posted an image of a black woman with an “African Americans for Hillary”* sign on his Twitter account. The post stated: “Avoid the Line. Vote from Home,” “Text ‘Hillary’ to 59925,” and “Vote for Hillary and be a part of history.”
The post also said, in small print, “Must be 18 or older to vote. One vote per person. Must be a legal citizen of the United States. Voting by text not available in Guam, Puerto Rico, Alaska or Hawaii. Paid for by Hillary For President 2016.” It also included the hashtag “#ImWithHer,” which was used to support Clinton in her failed attempt for the White House.
According to NBC, by Election Day 2016, at least 4,900 unique phone numbers texted “Hillary” or a similar message to the text number posted by Mackey.
ANTI-TRUMPSTERS CAN JOKE, PRO-TRUMPSTERS CANNOT
The January 2021 arrest of Mackey says it all. According to testimony from employees of the Clinton Campaign, they reported this “crime” in November 2016. Why wasn’t this dangerous keyboard troll arrested immediately, before he could do more “harm to democracy?”
As President Trump was on his way out the White House door and unable to pardon him, federal prosecutor Breon Peace, the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, had Mackey arrested for what he called a “groundbreaking” case. It was groundbreaking all right. It was yet another unique way to use the law to chill free speech and terrorize Americans who don’t think & vote the way the Deep State wants them to.
“One of the foundational rights we hold as Americans, a right that many fought so hard to obtain, is the right to vote. The defendant weaponized disinformation in a dangerous scheme to stop targeted groups, including black and brown people and women, from participating in our democracy,” Peace said. “This groundbreaking prosecution demonstrates our commitment to prosecuting those who commit crimes that threaten our democracy and seek to deprive people of their constitutional right to vote,” he added.
During the one-week trial, the government’s main witness was allowed to be anonymous. He/She was only referred to by his/her Twitter name “Microchip.” This cooperating witness said Mackey’s intent was precisely to get certain groups to stay home. He/She was allowed to testify even though his/her claims had changed over the course of about 20 meetings with the government. “Microchip” was allowed to testify under his/her online handle because prosecutors say he/she is helping the FBI with several other covert investigations to track down and prosecute Trump supporters.
It took the Brooklyn, NY jury six days to return a verdict of guilty, after previously telling the judge that they were deadlocked. Were they threatened?
During the trial the prosecutor made a point of the fact that Mackey was a Trump supporter as though that made him a danger to society who had to be both punished and de-programmed. They also referred to Mackey as a “right-wing propagandist” and a “far right influencer” residing in West Palm Beach, Florida. THAT begs the question of jurisdiction. This case should have been tried in the Southern District of Florida, since this “lawbreaking” took place in Mackey’s home. The prosecutor used some “legal,” but probably unethical, maneuver to get it tried in New York because there are more Democrat-registered jurors there.
“ASSAULT ON DEMOCRACY”
Here it comes, the nonsensical “assault on democracy” that Americans have heard ad nauseum ever since Donald J. Trump beat the anointed one, Hillary Rodham Clinton: U.S. District Court Judge Ann Donnelly said Mackey’s actions were “nothing short of an assault on our democracy.”
During Mackey’s trial, Andrew J. Frisch, his defense lawyer, said Mackey was trying to gain attention like everyone else on Twitter, according to The New York Times. “Mr. Mackey did not share these memes as some sort of grand plan,” he said, noting that it was “not a crime to vigorously support your candidate of choice.”
During his trial, Mackey testified that he did not believe anyone was stupid enough to actually think they could vote by text, according to Courthouse News Services. The trial was called “the single greatest assault on free speech and human rights in this country’s modern history,” by former Fox News host Tucker Carlson. I disagree with Carlson. This is yet another case that, inch by inch, destroys the Rule of Law and replaces it with the Rule of Man. “The Man” being the Ruling Elite. If they don’t like what you do or say, they destroy your life by prosecuting you. That scares other Americans into either hiding their thoughts, or falling in line with our DC Overlords’ demands.
SHOVING FREE-THINKERS INTO THE SHADOWS
Douglass Mackey, now 34, had 58,000 Twitter followers in 2016 and was listed by the MIT Media Lab as a significant influencer in the 2016 presidential election, according to the corrupt Garland Department of Justice. THAT, and the fact that Mackey supported Trump, made him a “threat to democracy.”
Had Mackey been a disgruntled Bernie Sanders supporter, trying to get back at Clinton because the DNC rigged the 2016 Democrat primary in her favor, would the federal prosecutor have targeted him? Had he only a handful of followers would he have been targeted? Had Queen Hillary won the election, would the US DOJ have persecuted him? Just days ago Clinton called for “deprogramming” of Trump supporters. Is Mackey’s case part of a larger plan?
Twitter, a Far-Left platform until Elon Musk bought it last year, cooperated fully with prosecutors, instead of claiming First Amendment Rights on behalf of Mackey.
The federal judge sentenced Mackey to seven months in prison for exercising his First Amendment Rights. As far as I know, Mark Zuckerberg is still free after funding massive voter fraud that put an unconstitutional “president” in the White House. But, these corrupt prosecutors don’t care about REAL voter fraud so long as Democrats “win.” THAT should frighten EVERY American enough to start fighting back against the tyranny that is taking away all our rights, inch by inch, every day.
*”African American:” THAT should have been the viewers first clue this was a joke. No one uses this term anymore. We must say/write “Black,” and we must capitalize it, to avoid being called racist, or worse.
There is only one way to correct all this antiAmerican activity…..Trump in 2024! “That’s all folks”
