It was all great theater. So entertaining to watch Garland sweat. At one point he pretended his feelings were hurt & acted like he was about to cry. Every American can breathe a sigh of relief that this partisan henchman is not on the Supreme Court. It was obvious at Wednesday’s House Judiciary Hearing that he is very bitter about that.
As expected, Merrick Garland feigned amnesia with virtually every question. Wyoming Congresswoman Harriet Hageman confronted Garland with the details of how Special Counsel David C. Weiss, close personal friend of the late Beau Biden, is protecting Joe Biden by letting Hunter’s massive ten-year income evasion & money laundering linger without prosecution. Then it was Indiana Congresswoman Victoria Spartz’s turn. She was born & raised in Ukraine and called Garland on his KGB tactics against the American people. Again, he pretended that he hears nothing, sees nothing, knows nothing about what is happening within his own department. Heck! He acts like he just “got off the boat” from China. I’m half tempted to send copies to some still insistent family members who think it’s all just disinformation and that poor Hunter (and Ol Joe) are just victims in all this.
These two women’s questioning of AG Garland should be shown on every television network in America. For sure they should be part of any republican gathering. It was difficult to keep a dry eye watching and listening to Congresswoman Sparta’s remarks. I was embarrassed as a citizen born and raised here that her admiration and faith in the American dream is so challenged by Garland and his department’s miserable performance.
