When a very young Diane moved from Portland, Oregon to Biloxi, Mississippi, I immediately noticed that each restaurant had four restrooms: White Women, Colored Women, White Men, Colored Men. My naive mind found this ridiculous. After all, I thought, urine is urine. By the time I made my way from the Pacific Northwest to the Deep South, the GOP’s century long civil rights battle was long over. However, the various buildings had not yet been remodeled. To comply with the new desegregation laws, businesses had merely painted over the words, removing “white” and “colored,” but these old words were still visible through the paint.

Although too many in America today have ignored Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr’s color blind message, let us remember the final words of his speech on August 28, 1963 in Washington DC:

“And when this happens, and when we allow freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual: Free at last. Free at last. Thank God almighty, we are free at last.”

Yet, he changed a corrupt system by his perseverance and courage. Donald J. Trump has only been arrested four times. Yet, his perseverance and courage he is in the process of changing a corrupt system that benefits the very few at the expense of the masses. When will the masses be free of the tyranny of the Ruling Elite? Every American should stand with President Trump as he is fighting for you more than for himself.
