Diane's Message To Kamala: Don't Call Me An Immigrant

For decades, Democrats have been denigrating Americans with European lineage and forcing us to accept illegal aliens by claiming “America is a nation of immigrants.” No, we are not!!! If we are, then each & every human being, throughout history, is an immigrant. Humans have been migrating from one region to another since the beginning of time, including the Native Americans whom Europeans encountered when they first arrived on the shores of the Western Hemisphere.

Kamala Harris pretends to be an American. She isn’t. She may have been born in America. She may have a piece of paper that calls her an American citizen. But, she spent her formative years (middle school, high school, first year of college, ages 12 to 19) in Montreal, Canada, studying at expensive, private schools. How much American history, American civics, American ideology did she learn there? Did her Canadian teachers teach her about American exceptionalism, about how my ancestors built this country, fought and died for this country? I doubt it!

Indeed, how much “Americanism” could she learn from her parents who moved to America as adults? Their daughter missed out on much of what it really means to be an American. Allow me explain.

DIANE’S GREAT GREAT GRANDFATHER FOUGHT TO FREE THE SLAVES

This American grew up, surrounded by two (older) generations of Americans. From them, I learned what it was like to live through World War I, the Great Depression & World War II. My father talked about working on Civilian Conservation Corps projects in Washington State. Has Kamala ever heard of the CCC?

My paternal grandmother spoke of her maternal grandfather, who lived with her family in his old age. As a Union soldier, he had been wounded in the Second Battle of Murfeesboro in Tennessee, on December 31, 1862, one day before President Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation. Kamala blathers on about imaginary racism, but she has never experienced real racism.

I heard the story of how my aunt lost her first husband on May 31, 1945, during the bloodiest fight of World War II, the Battle of Okinawa.^ My grandfather was in the army during WWI, but was not deployed overseas. Amazingly enough, he was required to sign up for the draft in WWII, at age 48, because the military was running out of younger men. My father had a shrapnel scar from his navel service in the Pacific during WWII. My father’s friend came home from the war and was never the same. My husband, an air traffic controller in the Air Force, lost his childhood best friend in Vietnam just weeks before I met him. How has Kamala sacrificed for America? She hasn’t.

No, Kamala, you are not a true American.* And you never will be. You hate our history, our traditions, our constitution, and worst of all, you hate most of the American people. As Trump said: “You can’t lead America if you don’t love Americans.”

^Just two month before she died in 2015, I visited the war memorial in Okinawa, and sent her photos of his name plaque on the memorial wall next to thousands of Americans, British and Australian soldiers who died during that six-month battle with the Japanese.

*I have a great deal of respect for foreign nationals who come to America and contribute to our society. If an immigrant wants to become a true American, he/she can. My husband & I helped my long time best friend immigrate from Taiwan. She wanted to become an American, she absorbed our culture & our history, while maintaining and respecting the culture of her birth.
