Gun Control Movement Started With Racism
The first law to prevent the carrying of concealed weapons appeared in Kentucky in 1813. At that time, very few people owned handguns. The main concern was the concealed carrying of knives by slaves, freed blacks, and abolitionists (who would form the Republican Party four decades later). By 1850 every Southern state had made it illegal to carry any kind of concealed weapon. Now, the same party, the Democrat Party, which started the gun control movement to keep arms away from blacks, has come up with a scheme to keep firearms away from military members.
TAKING GUNS AWAY FROM THE MILITARY
Under the guise of preventing suicide, the Biden Regime is putting together a scheme to take Second Amendment Rights away from active-duty military members and all DOD personnel. In a 115-page report commissioned by the Department of Defense, bureaucrats who have probably never even handled a firearm, are recommending that the following restrictions be placed on Americans who have signed up to PROTECT our Bill of Rights:
1) Raising minimum age for purchasing firearms & ammunition to 25.
2) Setting up a national database to record firearm serial numbers & ownership, which is unconstitutional.
3) Requiring those who live on DOD property to register their privately owned firearms.
4) Prohibiting possession of privately owned firearms on DOD property by anyone who does not live on DOD property (many military members live off base). This includes civilian employees who work for the military.
5) Restricting possession & storage of privately owned firearms in military barracks.
NO LOGIC
Let us examine the logic, or lack thereof, of these proposals. The very men & women WHO HAVE BEEN TRAINED to use guns in foreign lands to protect FOREIGNERS, cannot use guns on American soil to protect themselves and other Americans.* Obviously, this has nothing to do with suicide prevention nor safety. Moreover, suicide & illegal use of firearms by active-duty military is extremely low. A decade ago, the DC Swamp came up with a method to deny veterans their Second Amendment Rights. Now they have cooked up yet another dishonest method to strip yet ANOTHER group of Americans of their Second Amendment Rights.
