Biden Regime Importing Tuberculosis, Leprosy, Measles

My dermatologist burst into the examination room, quite excited. He explained that he had just received test results confirming that his patient (not me) had leprosy (Hansen’s Disease)! No, he was not glad that she had acquired this horrible, medieval disease. He was proud that he had correctly diagnosed it. All he knew about leprosy was from textbooks when he was in medical schools, he said. The disease just did not exist in 1980s America when he encountered this unfortunate patient, a 30-something American woman. My doctor reasoned that she had acquired leprosy when she was doing aid work in Africa.

Florida is currently experiencing an outbreak of leprosy attributed to immigrants from Mexico and Central America. Nationwide, 80-90% of leprosy patients are immigrants.

In 1993, over my protests, my internist insisted on testing me for tuberculosis. Over a number of months, I had been experiencing a cough which she could not diagnose.* A TB test was the last thing she could think of to do. I told her I was too healthy to have TB. She responded that she had just diagnosed a male attorney my exact age, also healthy, with TB. What did I have in common with that attorney? We both had clients who were immigrants. He had caught tuberculosis from a third world client.

Chicago is experiencing an outbreak of both tuberculosis and measles at immigrant shelters. Moreover, unlike Americans with just three percent, ten to twenty percent of Central and South Americans have a latent TB infection. Nationwide, TB outbreaks in 2023 were the highest in a decade, according to the CDC. Chicago public schools require American children be vaccinated against a long list of diseases, but immigrant children are admitted without such vaccinations, according to Democrat Raymond Lopez, a Chicago Alderman. How long before outbreaks of TB, measles or some other disease closes down these schools?

BIDEN’S “NEWCOMERS” ARE NOT CHECKED FOR DISEASES

Immigration Statutes require border authorities to screen foreign nationals for communicable diseases. The Biden Regime does not follow this part of immigration law. And why should they? They don’t follow any other part of immigration enforcement laws because they do not care if Americans are harmed by immigrants, legal or illegal. It should come as no surprise that diseases long eradicated in America, or rarely seen, or never seen, are popping up here and there where Biden’s Guests are now residing.

According to the National Library of Medicine, migrants are considered at higher risk for a range of health problems including infectious diseases, such as HIV, hepatitis B, tuberculosis, schistosomiasis and malaria. Schistosomiasis? I never heard of that, but it can be fatal. Higher risk among foreign nationals is due to poor socioeconomic conditions and lack of ongoing health care in their home countries.

Most of these communicable disease cases could have been avoided if Biden’s Guests were vaccinated when they were being processed by Border Patrol. Joe Biden was so obsessed with getting Americans vaccinated against Covid that he threatened them with job loss. However, his “newcomers” waltz or fly in regardless of their “Jab Status.”

*It turned out that I was allergic to Paul Mitchell hairspray. When I switched to another brand to hold my gorgeous locks in place, my cough went away.
