This American started noticing increases in food prices well over a year ago; but, didn’t think too much about the personal damage to my fellow Americans, UNTIL: Two 70-something ladies with health problems, whom I had known for about a year, told me they were going back to work due to inflation. At first, I thought they were joking. Nope!
On their first day in the White House, Biden’s handlers began the process which was intentionally designed to produce massive inflation, to rob Americans of the value of their income and assets, and to push more & more Americans into poverty. And they have been working hard at it ever since.
They implemented these policies KNOWING the elderly would be harmed the most. Inflation hits senior citizens the hardest because most of them are living on fixed incomes, and most don’t have the option of working. Indeed, today’s elderly who are living only on Social Security Retirement benefits is 12% for men and 15% for women. These are the Americans hurting the most under Biden’s Americans Last policies.
The “average” Social Security Retirement benefit is somewhere between $1,125 & $1,550 (BEFORE $170.10 in Medicare* premiums are deducted) depending upon the reference resource. According to the federal government which is fudging the numbers, the poverty level in 2022 is $1,133** for a single person and $1,526 for a married couple.
FOOD BANKS ARE OVERWHELMED DUE TO BIDEN’S STARVATION POLICIES
There is a small community (population: less than 10,000) which has long had three food banks. These last two years they have seen demands for food they have NEVER seen before and have been begging for donations all year. Just after Thanksgiving, one of the food banks wrote this Letter to the Editor of the local newspaper:
“The St. Vincent de Paul food bank in XXXXX has seen a 30% reduction in food from our normal sources (food donations from local farmers AND from residents) and we have spent almost twice as much as last year on food ($17,907 compared to $9,783).”
Due to the Biden Administration’s policies, food banks all over the nation are seeing two, three & four times as many customers needing free food than during the Trump Administration. Long-time customers are coming every day, when they only came once/twice a week before Biden’s policies produced massive inflation. Food banks are also seeing new faces, local residents who never needed free food before.
FEDS HAVE ALL THE STATS: THEY KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THEY ARE DOING
The federal government has access to all the figures, all the statistics. When the Biden Administration was about to implement policies that would increase inflation to an historic level, did they do so 1) HOPING that America’s seniors would starve/freeze to death, or 2) did they merely view these seniors as unimportant collateral damage that Biden’s handlers were willing to “live with” in order to push their America-Last agenda? If there is a third option, I would like to hear it.
According to a recent survey***, 14 percent of those age 55 and older say they have skipped meals due to Biden-made inflation, 10 percent have delayed or cancelled medical procedures and/or rationed prescription medications, and 50 percent have cut back on energy use. How many will freeze this winter? Since inflation has skyrocketed, an additional 20 percent of seniors are worried that, in the near future, they won’t be able to buy enough food, household necessities and/or put gas in their cars.
RED STATES LOWERING TAXES TO BUFFER INFLATION PAIN
In 2021-22 the following states seriously decreased income taxes for their residents: North Carolina, Iowa, Arizona, Mississippi, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Texas, Florida, Oklahoma, West Virginia, New Hampshire, Arkansas, with most states having a goal of eventually reducing them to ZERO. What do all these states have in common? They are all Bright Red or “pink” states. South Dakota has no income tax and the legislature is currently studying a proposal by Governor Kristi Noem to remove the state’s 4.5% sales tax on food in order to help lower-income residents.
I am 82 years old and seriously considering getting a part time job. Just because I am a senior, it doesn't mean that I can not do many things, at best, I would show up on time, and never leave my employer in a lurch because I had too much fun the night before. The kids today have no concept of honest work and the job of getting a paycheck. Too easy to stay with Mom and Dad and hang out with the electronic gadgets.
