Biden Giving Trump The Last Word

When Trump’s debate team and Biden’s debate team flipped a coin, Biden won. He was given the choice of either choosing the podium OR having the last word at the end of the debate. He chose the podium on the right side of the stage, thus giving Trump the last word. Say what? No experienced debater would want his opponent to have the last word.

Why in tarnation would a debater care whether or not he stood behind the podium on the right or on the left side of the stage? Biden’s debate team did not care. The team, which is made up of several men with significant debate experience, chose to waive the “last word,” a very important part of debating because they had bigger things to worry about.

ANSWER

This is a concession to Biden’s dementia. The debate is ninety minutes long. Biden’s doctor will need to shoot him up with a stimulant such as Adderall or Methylphenidate about half an hour before the debate begins. Each dementia patient is different; however, based upon how quickly Biden wound down during the State of the Union speech in March, his handlers know that he will not be capable of uttering a coherent two-minute conclusion at the end of the debate. His stimulant will have mostly worn off by then and he will likely be babbling, stuttering and/or muttering some story that’s a non sequitur (a conclusion that does not follow from the statements that lead up to it).

He was able to read and scream his way through most of the SOTU teleprompter Speech on March 7th because he was given an injection of a stimulant. Why was he so angry, you ask? Stimulants give dementia patients energy, but many also react with anger and rage. I wonder if he will scream & yell during the debate. You may have noticed that he ran out of energy towards the end of his 68-minute speech and was screaming less: the stimulant was wearing off.
