ARMED IRS AGENTS: WILL THEY SHOOT GRANDMA BECAUSE SHE MADE AN ERROR ON HER TAX RETURN?
Stocking Up On Ammunition
“Remember that all tax revenue is the result of holding a gun to somebody’s head. Not paying taxes is against the law. If you don’t pay your taxes, you’ll be fined. If you don’t pay the fine, you’ll be jailed. If you try to escape from jail, you’ll be shot.” P.J. O’Rourke
Contrarian and satirist, P.J. O’Rourke, thought he was making a joke. This is NOW reality. The laughably-named Inflation Reduction Act provides $80 Billion increased funding for ANOTHER 87,000 IRS agents. This doubles the number of agents, making the IRS three-quarters the size of the US Marine Corps. Immediately after Biden signed this legislation, the IRS posted a new Want Ad online. After horrified Americans noticed, the following part of the job description was quickly removed:
“MAJOR DUTIES:
Carry a firearm and be willing to use deadly force, if necessary.”
ARMED IRS AGENTS: NOTHING NEW, JUST LOTS MORE
For decades the IRS has had a department of armed IRS agents. In 2020 these 2,100 armed agents dealt with organized crime and narcotics trafficking. According to OpenTheBooks.com, in 2020 the IRS owned about 4,600 firearms, including shotguns, submachine guns, rifles and pistols. In 2022 alone, the IRS purchased $700,000 on ammunition. Keep in mind, they pay wholesale, bulk prices.
Income tax evasion is not a serious problem in the United States. Our compliance rate, 88%, is far higher than in any other country, including Western Europe. This enlarged agency, with more & more armed agents will be used to muzzle, terrorize and punish political critics.
WHERE WILL “UNDERREPORTED INCOME” COME FROM?
Biden and his minions repeatedly claimed they needed more IRS agents in order to collect “underreported income” by those earning $400,000 and more.
According to the Senate Finance Committee, Biden’s IRS expects 40% to 57% of increased tax collections will come from taxpayers making $50,000 or less, and 65% to 78% from those making less than $100,000. These are low and modest income households. Only 4% to 9% will come from those making over $500,000. In other words, Biden LIED.
Don’t let the term “underreported income” fool you. The IRS is expert at scaring taxpayers into paying more than they owe. The IRS shake down tactics have been used FOR DECADES and have mostly been used on modest income Americans, especially blue-collar workers, who are too afraid and/or too poor (can't afford attorney & CPA) to fight back. With twice the number of IRS agents, they will be focusing on a lot more Americans, the majority of which will be helpless, modest income taxpayers.
The Internal Revenue Code is extremely complex, add to that the fact that the code is not written in plain English. I call it Fed Speak. AND the way the IRS interprets the code adds an additional layer of complexity. An honest taxpayer who is trying to follow the rules is at an extreme disadvantage.
PRESIDENTS TARGETING POLITICAL OPPONENTS IS NOTHING NEW
Presidents have had a long tradition of using the Internal Revenue Service to harass, intimidate and persecute their political opponents. Within weeks of Biden moving into the Oval Office his IRS illegally leaked confidential tax information about various billionaires, such as Musk, Bezos & Buffett, to the Left-Wing ProPublica. Why? This was part of his plan to demonize wealthy taxpayers so he could pretend that he would only raise taxes on the greedy wealthy, not on lower & middle income taxpayers. Big lie!
FDR used the IRS to harass newspaper publishers who opposed his “New Deal” agenda.
JFK created the Ideological Organizations Audit Project to target right-leaning groups, including the American Enterprise Institute, a think tank, and the John Birch Society, an organization that opposes Communism, Marxism, Socialism, Totalitarianism and promotes the US Constitution.
Bill Clinton sicced the IRS on women who had spoken out about his predatory sexual behavior, such as Gennifer Flowers and Paula Jones.
And who can forget how Barack Obama used the IRS to suppress the Tea Party Movement leading up to the 2012 presidential election. Besides illegally auditing the personal and business tax returns of most of the movement’s leaders, the IRS also delayed giving various non-profit organizations tax status to prevent them from raising money. He was very successful, but this American wonders if he now regrets it.*
Notice what these five presidents have in common: All democrats.**
Ole P.J. once joked “Never let the people with all the money and the people with all the guns be the same people.”
Nice piece of History and Current affair's article which is much appreciated.
I drove to work wondering how/what in the hell are we as Patriotic Constitutional American's to do with the onslaught of the communist agenda. Its success is all pervasive in all aspects of our lives and condoned/Supported by our representatives in Congress. Just Vote more in ? That seems to be the case in past decades.
